Crimson Desert is now on version 1.13.00, and the biggest change is easy to spot: Damiane and Oongka can finally enter the Abyss.
That’s the main thing this patch does. Until now, that endgame area was closed off to both characters, which made full runs with Damiane or Oongka a lot less practical. With version 1.13.00, both can reach that content, so they’re much closer to Kliff in terms of being able to carry a playthrough from start to finish, even if a few gaps are still there.
The update adds more gear, too. Kliff and Oongka each get 39 new equipment pieces, boss gear included. Damiane gets 8 new armor pieces, and Oongka also picks up most of Kliff’s outfits, which gives players more room to mess with builds and customize how they look.
If Damiane or Oongka is your pick, this patch is probably worth downloading.
Player response to Crimson Desert patch 1.13.00 has been pretty positive so far, though some are still asking for unique quests, clearer differences in how the characters play, and fuller access to all systems without being funneled back toward Kliff. The patch also brings bug fixes and general quality-of-life changes.
Pearl Abyss has been rolling out updates regularly since launch, and that seems to be helping push the mood around the game from mixed toward something more positive. Sales have reportedly passed 6 million copies in 83 days, and the studio still looks intent on supporting the players who stuck around.
