Techland is celebrating its anniversary. The company has decided to continue support for its original game Dying Light, released more than a decade ago, despite the existence of its sequel, Dying Light 2: Stay Human. As part of the tenth-anniversary celebration, the developer has announced a series of events and special offers that will take place over four weeks. Players can expect significant free content, including the 10th Anniversary Pack, which will be available until February 10, 2025.
Happy Zombie Birthday
The 10th Anniversary Pack includes new weapons such as the Sunburst revolver, the Dawnbreaker shotgun, and the Golden Idle knife, as well as a set of cosmetic items, including outfits and vehicle skins. This initiative underscores Techland’s commitment to its gaming community, which has enjoyed constant updates and events over the past decade.
Dying Light offers a unique experience in the open-world zombie survival genre, mixing parkour elements in the style of the title Mirror’s Edge. Players must face hordes of enemies as night falls, when the infected become more powerful and dangerous. In turn, Dying Light 2: Stay Human, which also captures the essence of its predecessor, is currently on sale with a 67% discount, which could attract new players to the franchise.
For now, the 10th anniversary DLC is available for PC through platforms like Steam, Epic Games, and GOG. Techland has confirmed that the expansion will arrive on consoles at a later date, which raises expectations among the game’s fans. With this celebration, the developer reaffirms its dedication to its legacy and to the satisfaction of the gaming community that still advocates for the original game.
