The second part of Gladiator is one of the most anticipated releases of 2024. Although it was something that no one had asked for, Ridley Scott surprised everyone last year by announcing this project with great fanfare, and it seems to be ready for release on November 15th.
With a cast led by Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn and Connie Nielsen, current stars who will ensure it is a box office hit, the movie looks spectacular. But what we have seen in the trailer is not just CGI, as shown by DiscussingFilm, incredible sets have been built for the occasion:
A well-justified budget
With an initial budget of 165 million dollars that apparently multiplied to exceed 250 million due to problems during filming, strikes, and retakes, the film has become one of the most expensive in recent years. However, Paramount is 100% confident that its release in theaters will be titanic… so we just have to wait and see if all this effort has been worth it.
