Clint Eastwood is already 92 years old, and the director is clear that it is time to retire. Although he has been directing films for decades at an age that very few dare, achieving recent successes such as Cry Macho or Richard Jewell, the actor has decided that it is time to leave the camera.
But what will be the last project Eastwood will direct? As he has announced, its title is Juror #2 and it seems that the director has already selected his two leading actors: Nicholas Hoult -the star of Renfield– and Toni Collette, star of Hereditary and who also appears in Knives Out.

A sublime script
But what will Juror #2 be about? Written by Jonathan Abrams, the film explains a murder trial in which one of the jurors – number 2, to be precise – gradually realizes that it was he who killed the victim in a traffic accident. Thus, his mission is to save the accused but without incriminating himself along the way, which leads him to have to do do dozens of mental juggling tricks.
The script certainly seems appealing enough for Eastwood to have chosen it for his latest film. He will certainly leave behind him the trail of legend that he already achieved as an actor and has even surpassed as a filmmaker. There is still no release date set, so it remains to be seen if the film will leave us with as good a taste in our mouths as its director.
