Kia is set to launch its smallest and most affordable electric SUV, the EV2, which will be positioned below the EV3 in the growing EV lineup.
Aiming to make electric vehicles accessible to a broader audience, Kia has targeted a price range of approximately $30,000 to $80,000, with the EV2 expected to debut at around £25,000 (approximately $32,000) in the UK.
The EV2 promises a significant technological offering, featuring vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities that allow users to power electronics or even home appliances.

This compact SUV will also include innovative folding second-row seats to provide a versatile interior space, allowing occupants to stretch out comfortably or dine within the vehicle.
Kia’s updated styling will feature its signature vertical daytime running lights (DRLs) and a bold, boxy silhouette reminiscent of the Kia Soul, all while maintaining a premium feel, aided by rugged bumpers and wide wheel arches.
Recently spotted during public testing in Korea, the EV2 is generating buzz as it nears production readiness. Initial reviews of the vehicle’s concept indicate that it retains a striking resemblance to its prototype, showcasing Kia’s commitment to a cohesive design language in their EV range.
Kia’s advanced ccNC infotainment system, which will include dual 12.3-inch displays for navigation and driver information, is also slated for the EV2. With over-the-air updates, the vehicle is set to become smarter and offer more features over time. Launching in Europe and other regions in 2026, Kia aims for the EV2 to deliver an impressive range of at least 300 miles (605 km) under the WLTP standard.
With its ambitious plans, Kia hopes the EV2 will indeed be “EVs for all,” reinforcing the company’s efforts to democratize electric mobility.
