Loki continues to progress as one of the biggest and most interesting offerings in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in recent years. While the first season already introduced a highly engaging narrative that has been further explored in subsequent films, the second season is proving to be an even bigger twist to the known Marvel universe.
But what no one expected is what happened in the fourth episode: the most significant twist in the entire MCU since Avengers: Infinity War. It’s an event that has taken everyone by surprise and has become a major cliffhanger leading to the next episode, but it could lay the foundation for the future of the MCU.

Loki has died… again, and we don’t know for how long
According to what just happened in the latest episode of Loki, Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief has died, destroying the TVA in the process and causing the biggest chaos in the MCU since Thanos‘ snap. The series is making it clear that Loki will become Marvel’s herald for the upcoming Multiversal War, which will pit thousands of Kang variants in the future Avengers movie.
This is the fifth time, though, that Loki “dies” in the MCU, so it’s not very clear whether it will be a confirmed death. Nevertheless, it is a very interesting moment, and absolutely anything can happen in future movies. It remains to be seen, however, what happens with Jonathan Majors, the actor who plays Kang in the MCU and who was accused of assaulting a girl, which could result in him not returning to acting for a long time.
