The new feature aims to solve this problem by allowing the assistant to remember details from conversations you’ve had, thus avoiding the need to input the same data over and over again, and making the interaction with the chatbot much smoother and more efficient.
The Chat Memory feature, discovered in the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android (2.24.22.9), will allow users to customize their experience. They will be able to decide which conversation details to keep and which not to, thus maintaining full control over the information they share. Meta ensures that users will have the option to specify which data they do not want the assistant to remember, thereby providing them with greater security and privacy in their interactions.

Although this advancement is still in the development phase and is only available for users of the beta version of WhatsApp for Android, expectations are quite high. The new tool will not only make life easier for users who have difficulty remembering events or important dates, but it will also make the assistant more intuitive.
For now, there are not many more details about when the feature will be officially launched or if the data collected from conversations on WhatsApp can be used on other Meta platforms, such as Facebook or Instagram. We will have to wait for its official launch to clear up any doubts.
