Starfield Faces a Resilient Foe: 7-Year-Old Multiplayer Game Thriving with Updates!

Hello Games launches a new update for No Mans Sky, expanding its universe and positioning itself as Starfield biggest rival

Starfield has promised to be the biggest space RPG in history. It will allow us to explore planets, get to know the flora and fauna of space, and feel like real explorers. Of course, there will be a whole civilization and a series of social networks to which we will belong, but much of its charm will be the spaceships. The journey. The discovery. All that feeling of being pioneers in discovering something that no one had discovered before.

But another game came before Starfield. A game that started off on the wrong foot, promising a lot, but not knowing how to deliver exactly what people expected. Only with time, updates, and constant support from its developers, it has become a cult work. That game is No Man’s Sky.

Now, in view of the release of Starfield, it has launched what is probably its biggest update to date: Echoes. Among the most notable new features is the introduction of the Autophagi, a robotic alien civilization that we will be able to study. Something that will add a whole series of missions that will allow us to discover where they come from, what their intentions are and what their intentions are. Something that will be accompanied, of course, of new equipment and functionalities.

At the same time, for those who prefer adventure to anthropology, the game will add the presence of pirate space frigates. These frigates will try to attack other ships, which will make our travels through space more dangerous than ever. Something for which they have introduced a new mechanic in the form of assaulting weak points, where if we attack a specific point of the frigates, we will destroy them almost instantly. Something very similar to what happened with the Death Star.

In addition, the game will have a graphical update in its Switch version, which will make the game have an improvement in both performance and image quality on Nintendo’s portable. Something possible thanks to AMD FidelityFX technology.

All this positions No Man’s Sky as the game with the most impressive redemption story in video game history. But also a more than worthy competitor to Starfield. Because now Tod Howard’s game does not only have to compete with the expectations of the players, but also with the excellent work of Hello Games updating its game.
