Stellar Blade is headed to Nintendo Switch 2, and the clearest proof so far is an Entertainment Software Rating Board listing. An ESRB rating usually shows a release is far enough along to be real, not just rumored, and the reporting around it now points to a 2026 launch window for Nintendo’s next system.
The ESRB has rated the game M for Mature on Nintendo Switch 2. The summary lists violence, blood and gore, suggestive themes, and strong language.
That points to the same full version already on PS5 and PC, not some stripped-back or censored edition.
Right now, the reporting pegs it for 2026, even though earlier talk made it sound like Stellar Blade might show up sooner.
The ESRB listing matters for another reason too. It suggests the port has already passed a major checkpoint, which puts Stellar Blade among the more notable mature third-party games currently lined up for Nintendo Switch 2.
Nintendo first showed the Switch 2 version during a Nintendo Direct, and Stellar Blade drew attention there because people had long tied it to PS5 before it later expanded to PC.
It also lines up with Shift Up’s broader push into multi-platform releases and self-publishing. Add in reports about a sequel called Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, and this starts to look less like a one-off port and more like part of a larger franchise plan.
If you’re hoping for big action games on Nintendo Switch 2, Stellar Blade already looks like one to pick up when it lands.
