Pokémon Go Furfrou guide: Transform, shiny variant and more

Pokémon Go just got a dash more fabulous with the addition of Furfrou, the chic poodle-like Pokémon that comes in multiple forms. If you’re on a mission to catch every variant of this stylish creature, you’ve got some traveling to do. Our guide here will walk you through the different looks Furfrou sports and where you can snag them.

You’ll find Furfrou popping up just about everywhere, but keep an eye out for special events – like the glitzy Fashion Week – when Furfrou sightings shoot up. And here’s a little extra sparkle: Furfrou also comes in a Shiny version. They’re rare, but your chances are better during events when Furfrou is out and about more. So, get ready to seize those opportunities to add a Shiny Furfrou to your collection!

How to transform Furfrou in Pokémon Go?

In Pokémon Go, transforming your Furfrou into its various fabulous forms is quite the adventure. Caught a Furfrou? Great! Now, you can switch up its look with 10,000 Stardust and 25 Furfrou Candy. Just hit the button on its profile page, and voilà, a selection of stylish Trims, or forms, unfolds before you.

Furfrou’s Trims are a mix of globally available and region-specific styles. Here’s the rundown:

  • Matron Trim: This one’s up for grabs worldwide.
  • Dandy Trim: Also available everywhere, for that extra dash of flair.
  • Debutante Trim: Exclusive to the Americas.
  • Diamond Trim: Found only in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
  • Star Trim: A special look reserved for the Asia-Pacific region.
  • La Reine Trim: Only in France, très chic!
  • Kabuki Trim: Japan’s unique contribution.
  • Pharaoh Trim: A regal look found solely in Egypt.
  • Heart Trim: This one’s a Valentine’s Day event special.

And here’s a neat trick: you don’t need to catch Furfrou in a specific region to switch to its regional Trim. Just be in the area, and you can transform any Furfrou you’ve collected. This means you can stockpile Furfrou and switch up their styles whenever you find yourself in these different regions. Happy Furfrou fashion show!

How to get Heart Trim Furfrou in Pokémon Go?

In Pokémon Go, the Heart Trim Furfrou is a unique catch, donning a look that’s exclusively available during special times. Up to now, this romantic trim has shown its face only during the 2022 Valentine’s Day event, which was from February 10th to the 14th. For those keen on this heart-themed style, it’s a good bet that the Heart Trim Furfrou will make its appearance every Valentine’s Day event in the future. However, whether it’ll pop up at other events remains a sweet mystery.

If you’re lucky enough to be playing during the event, changing your Furfrou to the Heart Trim is straightforward. Just like any other trim, it’ll cost you the usual 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust. So, keep those resources handy when February rolls around!

Can Furfrou be Shiny in Pokémon Go?

And for those wondering about a Shiny twist, yes, Furfrou does indeed have a Shiny version in Pokémon Go. Catching this elusive Shiny, as with most Shiny Pokémon, requires a mix of persistence, luck, and a whole lot of Furfrou encounters. Keep your eyes peeled and your Pokéballs ready!

Pokémon GO Party Challenges: Play together, win together

Unlock fun and rewards with Pokémon GO Party Challenges in Party Play. Complete tasks, earn rewards, and team up with friends!

Pokémon GO has always been about bringing people together, and now, it’s even more exciting with Party Play and Party Challenges. Whether you’re a seasoned Trainer or just starting your journey, these challenges offer a delightful twist to your Pokémon GO experience

Party Play is a fantastic addition to Pokémon GO, allowing up to four trainers to embark on an epic adventure together, but there’s a catch – you must be Level 15 or higher to join the party. Once you’re in, your avatars will be visible on the screens of your party members, fostering a sense of togetherness. Plus, the Party Challenges await you!

Pokémon GO Party challenges explained

Pokémon GO Party challenges are a feature in the popular mobile game Pokémon GO that allows players to complete specific tasks together when participating in Party Play. Party Play is a multiplayer mode in which up to four Pokémon GO trainers can team up and play the game together for one hour. These challenges add an extra layer of excitement and collaboration to the game, enhancing the social aspect of Pokémon GO.

Here’s a breakdown of how Pokémon GO Party Challenges work:

  • Formation of a party: To initiate Party Play, a group of trainers must form a party. Each party can have up to four members, and all participants should be at least Level 15 or higher in the game.
  • Challenge selection: After a party is formed, the host – the player who initiated the party – gets to choose the Party Challenges for the group. These challenges are predefined in the game and encompass a variety of tasks related to different aspects of Pokémon GO gameplay.
  • Challenge variety: The challenges can include tasks like spinning PokéStops or Gyms, catching Pokémon, capturing specific types of Pokémon, and participating in raid battles, among others. This variety ensures that there’s something for everyone, from explorers to battlers.
  • Rewards: Completing Party Challenges is a rewarding experience. Successful completion of these challenges earns participants in-game rewards. These rewards can include valuable items like Stardust, Great Balls, Ultra Balls, and Razz Berries, all of which are beneficial for progressing in the game.
  • Progress tracking: Players can track their progress with Party Challenges by accessing the ‘Party’ tab in their Trainer Profile or by selecting the ‘Party Play’ button on the Map screen. This allows participants to see how they are faring with the challenges in real-time.

It’s essential for party members to stay physically close to each other in the real world during Party Play. If players venture too far from their fellow party members, they will exit Party Play. The game provides warnings to prevent this from happening.

Party Play also features an activity summary that offers insights into various categories such as Pokémon, Throws, Adventure, Battle, and General. Party members can bookmark their favorite activities for quick access in the ‘Favourite’ section.

At the end of the Party Play session, players receive a recap that summarizes the major events and achievements during their time in the mode. This recap is a great way to relive the memorable moments of the adventure.

Pokémon GO Party Challenges encourage teamwork, cooperation, and a shared gaming experience. They add an exciting and social dimension to the game, allowing players to work together to achieve specific goals and earn rewards.

Whether catching Pokémon, battling in raids, or exploring PokéStops, Pokémon GO Party Challenges make the popular game more engaging and enjoyable when playing with friends.

Now it is Pokémon that uses AI (to the sadness of its fans)

Everything indicates that Niantic has used artificial intelligence to create the backgrounds for this new Pokémon adventure. And they have no excuse, in this case there are dozens of fabulous artists in the franchise.

We can’t have anything nice. If yesterday we said with glee that ‘Pokémon Go‘ had given entry to the creatures of Paldea, we can not give one of lime without one of sand: it turns out that everything points to that in Niantic have used artificial intelligence to make the backgrounds of this new Pokémon adventure. And they have no excuse, in this case there are dozens of fabulous artists in the franchise.

Our world is (not so) different

The image in question has not been seen in the trailer, but on the official page of the app, where we see a Sprigatito copied and pasted in front of a generic blurry city in whose streets we can not see a single Pokémon. Moreover, if you analyze the drawing you can see those things that a minimally trained eye has already learned from the AI: lack of cohesion, figures that start but do not end and, of course, blurs here and there that no artist would allow in his work.

It is a generic city, unbecoming of a franchise like Pokémon that, like it or not, has always stood out for having personality. From Niantic, moreover, they have not bothered to tackle the issue at the root, as they did in their day from Wizards of the Coast when there was a problem in ‘Dungeons & Dragons‘. The creators of the game have said “Niantic uses a number of tools and software to create visual embodiments. We do not discuss issues specific to our processes.” Well, that would be it.

It’s a shame that some companies seem to have understood “a tool to throw workers out” rather than “a tool to make work easier”. Nuances, I guess. Whether this is a fad or becomes the standard, we’ll see. For the moment, pointing is all that’s left in a world that seems to despise the artist over quick fixes and easy money. Do you think they’ve learned their lesson?
