Have you ever played ‘Call of Duty’ and thought “Here is missing ‘Gundam'”? Your wishes are orders

You might be surprised to learn that ‘Gundam’ is now joining the FPS genre. Yes, the Japanese giant robot anime that debuted in 1979. That one. Season 4 of the war game is going to get very animated.

You may remember the time when ‘Call of Duty’ was a war game that aimed to be more or less realistic in its historical battles. And if you have been under a rock unaware of the crossovers in recent years, you may be surprised to know that ‘Gundam’ is now joining the FPS genre. Yes, the Japanese anime about giant robots that debuted in 1979. That’s right. Season 4 of the war video game is going to get very animated.

Little dam, a lot of gun

And what will we find in this crossover? No, now you won’t be able to ride giant robots to defeat your enemies or revolutionize World War II riding the RX-78-2: there will be skins, accessories, and weapon blueprints available for those who missed mechas in their historical war recreation.

However, season 4 of ‘Call of Duty’ has brought problems to the fans, because they have decided to resurrect, as a skin, Soap, one of the most beloved characters in the saga… and who died in the campaign of ‘Modern Warfare 3’. Well, making money from wherever. In addition, there will be three new main maps (one of them in Tokyo) and a new vehicle. On May 29th we will be able to see all this in ‘Warzone’ and ‘Modern Warfare 3’. Of course, I hope you’re not too much of a purist, because clearly that’s no longer a thing in the saga.

From Rap to Warfare: Nicki Minaj Takes Center Stage in the Call of Duty Universe

The latest to enter the 'Call of Duty' arena has been Nicki Minaj, the hip hop singer, in a pack that also includes two new weapons and a vehicle. Of course, pink.

Remember when ‘Call of Duty‘ was sold as a very serious FPS, practically a war making simulator? Well, times have changed. What at first were winks to movies like ‘Saving Private Ryan’, have now become real shows where the game is mixed with ‘Die Hard’, ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ or, why not, ‘Scream’.

Killing with rhythm

The latest to enter the ‘Call of Duty’ arena is Nicki Minaj, the hip hop singer, in a pack that also includes two new weapons and a vehicle. Of course, in pink, in the best ‘Barbie‘ style: in fact, the first female Operator in the franchise (in 2023, eh) leaves a pink trail wherever she goes. Oh, and watch out: she doesn’t arrive alone.

One of the singer’s special moves is to dig her heels into an enemy and leave him for dead, but it’s not the only one: she also has karate kicks, spinning punches and leaves confetti on her victims’ bodies. Killers, yes, but always cute. The pack will be available in ‘Warzone’ and ‘Modern Warfare 2’, and watch out, because Minaj will not be the only hip-hop singer to enter the ring.

Snoop Dogg is already available, and soon will be 21 Savage, in a collection that commemorates 50 years of Hip-Hop. These new skins will be able to see them against the Ninja Turtles, Terminator, King Kong or the protagonists of ‘The Boys’ and they can all be taken to ‘Modern Warfare 3‘ in what has already moved away from realism to give us an experience more similar to ‘Fortnite’, more horny, more festive and that fans of the original games will hate with all their souls.

Frankly, it’s their loss. Va Va Voom!

Don’t cheat in Call of Duty or you might get your weapons confiscated

#TeamRICOCHET is a cheater’s worst nightmare within games like Call of Duty: Warzone, but this is one task force that won’t just ban you for illegal or immoral activities in the game; they’ll annoy the snipershot out of you first.

Call of Duty: Warzone DOWNLOAD

RICOCHET is an anti-cheating task force established to protect the honest gamers within the Call of Duty games. The task force is a ‘cross-functional group composed of security, game and server engineers, researchers, data scientists, and more, each working in collaboration alongside game teams.’

In its latest progress report, RICOCHET answers a few frequently asked fan questions and gives more details as to what it does and how it combats cheating. All in all, the June 2022 progress report is a rib-tickling read if you enjoy cheaters being messed with and penalized for interrupting honest players’ gameplay.

The progress report kicks off with an explanation of why cheaters are still such an ever-present reality within Call of Duty titles. RICOCHET explained that the team uses all of the methods used to cheat that it has uncovered to create protections against them. However, the task force notes that cheating is like a virus and that ‘While our team has been able to establish systems that can quickly detect and respond to bad behaviors, we know tomorrow will continue to deliver new and evolving threats.’

Luckily, RICOCHET has numerous mitigations in its toolbox that it uses against players caught cheating. And, as highlighted in the latest progress report, there’s a new mitigation technique in town, and it’s something akin to the punishment for stealing in certain territories. If you are caught cheating, one of the new ways in which RICOCHET will disrupt your gaming is by simply taking away your weapons. However, given that fists are relatively lethal weapons in Call of Duty, you may lose these too. Yes, RICOCHET will remove your fists if you cheat.

This isn’t the only fun way in which RICOCHET will mess with you before banning your account. One of the other tools in the mitigation toolbox is called Cloaking and will instantly hide anyone that a cheater shoots so that they can shoot once and no more. The target is then able to fire a few rounds into the now confused cheater and end their reign of terror

RICOCHET will be active from Day One when both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is released, and by the looks of things, we won’t have to wait long for the CoD: MWII Beta to go live.

Are you ready to join the Call of Duty: Warzone 100km virtual run?

Call of Duty is breaking the mold of the concept of a charity race. As announced only hours ago, Call of Duty is hosting the first-ever digital charity race run completely within a video game. Players are invited to run 100 virtual in-game kilometers in Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific to support the Call of Duty Endowment Fund.

The race, taking place between the 26th of May and the 3rd of June 2022, is being organized in support of veteran employment, and Activision Blizzard, the company behind Call of Duty, has pledged $1 per kilometer for every player who takes part, adding up to $10 per player. This is part of an incredible $1 million donation to the aforementioned Call of Duty Endowment Fund.

This won’t just be a charity event, though; Call of Duty and Activision Blizzard have ensured there are sufficient incentives for players to join the landmark event. Players will have the chance to rack up an incredible 10 in-game kilometers in Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific and, in doing so, win a spot on the event’s leaderboard. Players will also be able to snap up reward-based incentives for competing in the event and reaching various milestones. Among these are a bronze calling card for running 25 kilometers, a silver calling card for running 50 kilometers, and a gold calling card for running 100 kilometers in the game.

In a recent statement, Fernando Machado, Activision Blizzard’s Chief Marketing Officer, had the following to say: ‘Endowment allows us to give our fans the opportunity to do something that is both fun and impactful. This is an event we are all excited for, and we can’t wait to see the enthusiasm in the community as they race to hit the top of the leaderboards for a great cause.’

Unlike physical marathons, a smartwatch or step counter won’t be much use to you during the event. However, if you tweet @CallofDuty with your Activision ID and add in the event hashtag #CODVeteruns100K, you’ll receive your event stats as well as the total amount of money that will be donated to the Endowment Fund on your behalf.

Exciting new details for Call of Duty: Project Aurora

Call of Duty fans will be excited to learn that progress is being made on the Project Aurora mobile game. Up to this point, the developers have been very careful about sharing any details of the game since it’s still in development. However, they recently shared some exciting news that shows where the process is currently.

The developers shared an update regarding the upcoming Call of Duty mobile game, codenamed Project Aurora. The developers announced that this new title aims to bring family and friends together in a diverse community. The game will deliver a fast-paced, action-driven battle royal experience for all players.

While whispers and rumors about the new game have been shared on Reddit and even YouTube, the developers were very clear that none of this is official yet. The reason that they haven’t made any of this information official yet is that the game is still in early development, and as such, nothing has been finalized. They haven’t even finalized the name of the game yet, hence the reason why a codename is being used.

The developers did announce that they started with the first run of the gameplay test in the Project Aurora Closed Alpha. This closed alpha is a small group of specially selected candidates. This limited group of alpha testers aims to start improving the tuning, stress test the machines, identify and fix bugs, and collect feedback and insights on all aspects of the game as new features come online.

Participants of the closed alpha aren’t allowed to share any information on the game, so you can read the latest news on their official news page if you want to keep informed. Also, make sure you don’t miss the Godzilla/Kong Kong action in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Godzilla and Kong are invading Call of Duty: Warzone

Call of Duty: Warzone keeps players entertained with frequent updates, new content, and events. Operation Monarch is the newest limited-time event and mode that launches today. This new mode will introduce two epic titans to battle against in a last-team standing scenario.

Call of Duty: Warzone DOWNLOAD

That’s right, in Operation Monarch on Call of Duty: Warzone, teams will have to battle it out against two of the best-known protector titans, Kong and Godzilla. This is an epic celebration of the monsterverse, Kong vs. Godzilla, and Call of Duty.

Teams (operators) will strive to collect valuable Monarch Intel that charges a special meter that unlocks items like killstreaks and load drops. If the meter gets filled, the team’s awarded the unique and powerful Titan Killstreak. Teams need to collect this intel while watching for either Kong or Godzilla. Monarch Intel can be found in supply boxes, special drops, fallen enemies, and dealing the most damage to either Titan during a Titan Frenzy.

During a Titan Frenzy, which seems to appear at the start of the game and at random times afterward, both Godzilla and Kong will become enraged and start attacking. While teams can tactically withdraw if they’re not ready to face the Titans, teams will get great rewards by dealing the most damage. The team with the most damage will receive the S.C.R.E.A.M device – something players would only get otherwise by filling their Monarch Intel meter.

The S.C.R.E.A.M device lets the players use some of the Titan’s most powerful attacks against them. However, a word of warning, timing, and positioning is crucial when using this device against the Titans.

So, will your team survive against the titans? Give it a shot while you can, as the event will end on May 25th. There is also a new release coming to the franchise, so if you’re a fan of Call of Duty, read our article for more information on the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. We’re very excited to try our hands against these Titans during the Operation Monarch event.
