Since its release in 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2 has been regarded as a master of the open-world genre, with a wealth of details that invites players to explore it repeatedly. Rockstar Games’ work stands out not only for its captivating narrative and vast landscapes but also for the surprises that await in every corner. With so many secret areas and hard-to-find treasures, each new playthrough can reveal something unexpected.
Recently, a YouTuber known as MrBossFTW has revealed one of these secrets in a video that is capturing the attention of the community. This finding is located in a shed south of Emerald Ranch, where players can access a hidden room. Descending some stairs, players will find a space that, in addition to the usual food and supplies, holds an intriguing aspect: a set of matches in the shape of an arrow indicating the direction of a hidden treasure.
This secret is hidden behind a movable wall that, when discovered, reveals a pile of money equivalent to 50 dollars. This amount, which in the context of the year 1899 holds significant value, offers players an important decision: to use the money for their own purposes or donate it to their group, representing an additional layer of interaction and choice within the game.
The fascinating thing about Red Dead Redemption 2 is that, despite having completed the story several times, there is always something new to discover. The richness of the world created by Rockstar, along with these hidden revelations, ensures that both new players and veterans continue to delight in surprises and adventures in the land of outlaws.

If you are one of those players who continuously seek challenges because for you most games are a walk in the park, pay attention. The world of video games always finds ways to renew itself and challenge its players, and one of the most recent examples is the mod Red Dead Redemption 2: Ruthless Frontier. This mod promotes a significant increase in difficulty and combat intensity, adjusting the health values of enemies, which transforms each encounter into a more prolonged and strategic experience.
Developed by YGBRO, Ruthless Frontier presents itself as a mod of extreme difficulty, where shootouts are prolonged and tactics play a crucial role. In a game that is already considered one of the most challenging in recent history, this mod offers players the opportunity to relive their adventures in the Wild West with a new level of demand. Every confrontation can be fatal, adding a new layer of tension and excitement to the game.
As Rockstar fans await the release of GTA VI, many are seeking entertainment in Red Dead Redemption 2. This mod seems to be the perfect solution for those who want to extend their playtime, as it promises to challenge players’ skills in a way that the original game already has. However, it is important to mention that, being a new mod, it has few reviews or comments on platforms like NexusMods, which could create uncertainty about its quality and stability.
In a modding ecosystem that allows creators to enrich gaming experiences, Ruthless Frontier emerges as an intriguing option for those seeking an additional challenge. If you feel that you need a higher level of danger and difficulty in your game, this mod could be the answer to your needs, testing your skill and patience in a world where every bullet counts.
Even though it is already a few years old, Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to capture the interest of players, who keep experimenting with new craziness. A content creator has given an unexpected twist to the gameplay by implementing a modification that drastically increases the speed of the cars in the game, transforming the experience into something halfway between hilarious and terrifying. Although it is already a few years old, Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to capture the interest of players, who keep experimenting with new craziness. A content creator has given an unexpected twist to the gameplay by implementing a modification that drastically increases the speed of the cars in the game, transforming the experience into something halfway between hilarious and terrifying.
The result of this modification is a true roller coaster of shocks, with unexpected situations that make every ride through the game’s lands feel like a Russian roulette of scares. A cart can crash beside you at any moment, turning a previously relaxing environment into a frantic chaos. In the creator’s video, you can observe the players’ reactions as they try to navigate the busy setting of Saint-Denis, where danger can arise at stratospheric speeds.
Although this chaotic way of playing does not promote the immersion that many players seek, it turns out to be entertaining for a large number of fans. The additional challenge of evading wildly speeding vehicles has refreshed the experience, even in a game that, at its launch, already offered a wealth of crazy and unexpected situations.
Despite the lack of attention from Rockstar Games, which has distanced itself from the title, the player community continues to innovate and enjoy the game. This shows that, although much of the possible craziness in Red Dead Redemption 2 has already been explored, there is always room for new experiences that keep the spark of the game alive in 2025. If you thought you had put it away for good, you can still enjoy it and play new sessions!
A lot has happened since then, and the game has appeared on every console from the PS3 and Xbox 360 generation to the current one, including the Nintendo Switch. But there was still a thorn in the side: the PC version.
It seems unbelievable, but it has been 14 years since the first time we set foot in the Old West with John Marston, the protagonist of Red Dead Redemption. A lot has happened since then and the game has appeared on all consoles from the PS3 and Xbox 360 generation to the current one, including Nintendo Switch. But there was a thorn in our side: the PC version of the game.
And it is that in the new code you could read “Travel through the great plains of the American West and Mexico in Red Dead Redemption and its zombie companion, Undead Nightmare, now playable on PC. Experience the epic adventures of the West that defined a generation”. Not everyone may have been excited because, after all, it arrives fifteen years late.
However, Rockstar, in the face of the buzz caused, has deleted that part of the code, so the port is once again in doubt. The doubt has been in the air for years, because it is not the first time that a PC version is listed or rumored. It’s getting closer little by little, but it has had time after so many years, right?
Red Dead Redemption 2 announces its arrival on Nintendo Switch, raising doubts about the console’s ability to be able to run the game.
Cowboy stories have the reputation of being something for older folks. The Western genre is seen as something that only appeals to an older audience, as being very masculine, and as being quite dull, but nothing could be further from the truth. The Western genre has masterpieces that can appeal to everyone and shape great video games as well. Just look at the case of the highly acclaimed Red Dead Redemption 2, which, it seems, is close to returning to our consoles.
This is because Red Dead Redemption 2 has received an age rating from the Ministry of Justice and Public Security of Brazil for Nintendo Switch. So far, it had been released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in September 2018 and on PC in November 2019. Among these three different versions, Take-Two has reportedly sold more than 55 million copies of the game. This would more than justify considering a version for the Nintendo hybrid, currently the best-selling console of the generation.
However, if it hasn’t happened so far, there are good reasons for it. The Nintendo console has limited hardware, making it difficult to believe it can consistently run what Red Dead Redemption 2 offers. With nowhere near the technological power of the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, it’s most likely that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released as a cloud game, although nothing has been confirmed about this yet.

In any case, this is not the only recent release from the franchise. A port of the original Red Dead Redemption was released last month for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, accumulating 23 million copies sold since its original release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2010.
The online version of Red Dead Redemption 2 has potentially taken its final breath – for now, at least. The news that Rockstar is shelving any further development on Red Dead Online in favor of the continued development of GTA VI has fans feeling mournful and as if they’ve lost a friend. In a manner of speaking, many fans have.
Red Dead Redemption Online may not have received all the attention that Grand Theft Auto Online does, but the platform meant a great deal to its loyal fanbase.
In the wake of Rockstar’s announcement, fans have taken to Twitter, where #RedDeadFuneral is currently trending, to say their last goodbyes to an icon.
These are just a few of the sorrowful gestures that have been flooding Twitter since the announcement. Of course, we have to keep in mind that all Rockstar has done is shelf any further content and development on the Red Dead Online platform while the company shifts focus to potentially the most ambitious video game in history – Grand Theft Auto VI.
However, many fans see the issue a little differently. To them, this is just the final blow for a game and platform that Rockstar hasn’t paid much attention to, apart from content drops. Many fans even used #RedDeadFuneral as a platform to vent and voice their frustrations with the game.
We cannot fault players for feeling this way when the facts paint the same picture. Red Dead Redemption Online is, for all intents and purposes, a forgotten game. Rockstar has another online variant of a popular game – GTA Online, a multiplayer experience tied to GTA V.
Even though GTA V is five years older than Red Dead Redemption 2, the former still receives regular updates and increased developer attention. This is while fans have had to suffer with Rockstar’s lack of support toward Red Dead Online.
Many believe that it is not necessarily the announcement, but rather Rockstar’s blatant disregard of Red Dead Online’s fanbase that brings players to the in-game cemetery beside Blackwater Chapel. Fans have flocked to the Valentine settlement location to take photographs of their characters dressed in black and to down a virtual stiff one at the nearby Smithfield Saloon.

Even the most fearsome outlaw needs a break every now and then, and what better way to relax than with a fishing trip? Like hunting, fishing is an essential component to surviving the Wild West world of Red Dead Redemption 2. As a player, knowing how to fish is a key way to obtaining crucial resources and supplies and will also net some unique rewards for more skilled fishermen. Take a look at the guide below for our tips on becoming a legendary angler.
The first step to any successful fishing trip is choosing the right bait. Some types of bait can be easily obtained by using inventory items such as small pieces of bread or cheese. If you’re just looking to catch a bit of dinner, these types of bait will do just fine. However, if you’re hunting a larger or rarer fish, you’ll want to head to the bait shop in the town of Lagras, tucked into the murky swamps of Lemoyne. This shop offers all varieties of bait, from common lures to rarer and more expensive Special Lures. In particular, you’ll need to have a Special Lure equipped to attract the game’s Legendary Fish.
Each lure is unique. Some lures are better suited to certain areas like rivers or lakes, and some will be more likely to attract certain species of fish. Get to know each type of lure and choose carefully before casting your line. If you can’t seem to catch the particular type of fish that you’re looking for, double check your bait. You’ll want to make sure you’re not using a river lure in a lake or that you’re using a type of bait suited to attract a particular fish.
Once you’ve picked a lure, you’ll need to find a good fishing spot. You can fish in almost any of Red Dead 2’s bodies of water, from small ponds to larger rivers and lakes. You’ll want to look for a spot where you can see clusters of ripples on the surface of the water. This is a good indicator that the spot has plenty of fish just ready to be caught. You can fish from the shoreline or grab a boat to ride out into open waters. When you’re ready, pull out your Fishing Rod from the item wheel and follow the button prompts to attach your bait of choice.
To cast your line, hold down LT/L2 to adjust your aim. Then you can hold down RT/R2 to pull back the line, and release to cast. The longer you keep the trigger held down, the further out your line will go. Now, you’ll have to play a bit of a waiting game. You can entice fish to nibble the lure by slowly rotating the right stick or tapping RT/R2 from time to time. When you feel a bite, press RT/R2 to hook it.
The next task: reeling in your catch. Rapidly rotate the right stick to guide the fish back to you. The fish will go through periods where it’ll flail wildly in an attempt to fight you off. When this happens, you’ll want to stop reeling, as you risk breaking the line. Instead, use the left stick to wrangle the fish until it tires itself out. While reeling, you can also pull down on the left stick to rapidly pull the fish towards you, but you’ll want to be careful, as doing so risks breaking the line.
If you’re looking for a specific species of fish, check out the list below for where and when to find them:
Bluegill: Common, can be found in lakes and rivers during rain.
Smallmouth Bass: Most common in northern rivers during rain.
Largemouth Bass: Most common in Lemoyne/southern areas during rain.
Rock Bass: Can be found in clear bodies of water on sunny days.
Chain Pickerel: Common in all bodies of water during sunny weather.
Redfin Pickerel: Can be found in southern rivers during sunny weather.
Bullhead Catfish: Can be found in swampy areas during rain.
Sockeye Salmon: Can be found in northern rivers when cloudy.
Perch: Common in all rivers and lakes during sun.
Lake Sturgeon: Can be found in southern lakes and swamps during cloudy weather.
Steelhead Trout: Can be found in southern lakes during rain.
Muskie: Can be found in northern lakes during cloudy weather.
Once you’ve successfully caught a fish, you’ll be presented with two choices: keep the fish or throw it back. Smaller fish, as a general rule, aren’t really worth keeping. Throwing them back isn’t a total loss though, as you’ll get a temporary stat boost for doing so. Larger fish can be kept, either in your pack or on the back of your horse for particularly large specimens. Kept fish can either be cooked and eaten like regular game, or brought to town and sold. Unlike game hunting, they don’t offer skins or pelts to keep. Legendary Fish are their own special category. As part of a sidequest, any Legendary Fish you’ve caught can be taken to the nearest Post Office and exchanged for a hefty cash reward.
Fishing in Red Dead 2 is a bit of an art form. Keep these tips in mind and you’ll quickly become a master.
In Red Dead Redemption 2, players encounter a variety of colorful strangers, each offering unique side quests with equally unique rewards. One such quest, “Duchesses and Other Animals,” will reward the player with a unique hat and a beautiful custom revolver that can’t be obtained elsewhere. The quest itself, however, isn’t easy. Players will have to head to the far corners of the map to collect rare items for a collector in Saint Denis, and without knowing where these items are, it can be a long time before this quest is completed. Don’t fret: we’ve made it easy for you so you can get your hands on that unique gun and hat in no time at all.
At some point during Chapter 4, players have the option to meet with Algernon Wasp, an exotics collector, at his shop in Saint Denis. Head to the shop to talk to Algernon, who explains that he’s been commissioned to create artistic pieces for various high-profile clients. He wants to hire you to help collect the items he needs. The quest is split into five parts, and will involve both gathering certain flowers and hunting rare birds.
Part One
Egret/Lady of the Night locations
Item Requests:
5 Little Egret Plumes
5 Reddish Egret Plumes
5 Snowy Egret Plumes
15 Lady of the Night Orchids
Rewards: $110
The first part of the quest will see you hunting exotic egrets. For this task, make sure you have a Varmint Rifle handy. Egrets of all kinds like to hang around in the red circle marked on the map above, mostly the eastern end of the Bayou Nwa. They’ll hang around in clusters, but will bolt at the sound of a gunshot. We recommend using Dead Eye to pick your shots and take out as many as you can in one swoop. You may have to leave and return to the area several times to let the egrets return so you can get enough plumes. You may also notice herons and spoonbills as you hunt. Take these out too, as you’ll need them for later stages of the quest. After you’ve finished bird hunting, snatch up the orchids, denoted with blue dots on our map.
Part Two
Moccassin Flower Locations
Lady Slipper Orchid locations
Item Requests:
20 Heron Plumes
7 Lady Slipper Orchids
10 Moccasin Flower Orchids
Rewards: $125
Part two is a bit more involved, and will see you riding out of Lemoyne for most of the quest. First, gather up some heron plumes. You’ll find them in the same area you found the egrets in part one, as well as other watery areas in Leymone, such as along river banks or on the swampy shores of the bayou. Next, head up to Roanoke Ridge to gather Mocassin Flowers, marked with pink dots on our map. You’ll be able to find most of what you need near Butcher’s Creek. Finally, you’ll need to ride out to Big Valley to grab Lady Slipper Orchids, which we’ve denoted on our map with green dots.
Part three should be fairly quick and easy to complete. Gator’s eggs have been indicated in orange dots on our map, and contain 5 eggs per cluster. Acuna’s Star Orchids are designated with black dots, Cigar Orchids with purple dots, and Ghost Orchids with light blue dots.
Some more hunting is in store for this bit of quest. Grab a Varmint Rifle and take down some spoonbills. They can be found in the same areas as egrets and herons, as well as along riverbanks and near other watery areas. Then, you can gather your orchids. Night Scented Orchids are light green, Rat Tail Orchids are yellow, and Spider’s Orchids are gold.
Part Five
Part 5 Item Map 1
Part 5 Item Map 2
Part 5 Item Map 3
Item Requests:
5 Clamshell Orchids
5 Dragon’s Mouth Orchids
5 Queen’s Orchids
10 Sparrow’s Egg Orchids
Rewards: $200, Exotic Hat, Algernon’s Revolver
Finally, perhaps the most involved bit of the quest. It’s only gathering orchids, but it’ll take you to the far corners of the map. You’ll find the Clamshell Orchids at the maroon dots, Dragon’s Mouth at the grey dots, Queen’s Orchids at the fuschia dots, and Sparrow’s Egg Orchids at the navy dots.
Take these orchids back to Algernon to receive your final rewards:
The Exotic Hat
The Exotic Hat is a suitably over-the-top bit of headwear: a wide-brimmed grey hat with egret plumes tucked into the blue satin band.
Algernon’s Revolver
Algernon’s Revolver is a unique variant of the Double Action Revolver. It’s stainless steel, short barreled, and engraved with gold art-deco embellishments. It’s also got a wide mother-of-pearl grip and a nice, snappy firing rate. This excellent weapon makes all that work worth it.
