Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s next season could have a release date

Guardians of the Night: Kimetsu no Yaiba is one of the most successful shonen of today, and soon we could know the release date of its fourth season.

Guardians of the Night: Kimetsu no Yaiba is one of the great shonen of today. This is indisputable. Its success is overwhelming, but that has not prevented it from reaching its peak. With the manga already concluded, the anime is already entering the final stretch. And while we have confirmed the fourth season, we don’t have the most important thing: its release date.

The third season, premiered on April 9, 2023, and adapting the remaining of the Swordsmith Village Arc, will lead to the fourth season. This will be focused on the Training for Hashira Arc, which is the last arc before the series’ grand finale, as we already told you at the time. And while we already have all the important information about this new season, including that it will have a limited release in theaters for its first episode, we still lack a key element. When will it premiere.

According to Ufotable, the animation studio behind the series, there is going to be a special announcement for the series very soon. Although we don’t know the exact date yet, it will be broadcasted on ABEMA’s Anime LIVE Channel, and the voice actors of Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke will make a special appearance to comment on the status of the series.

This kind of events, historically, have not provided relevant information about the series. Being little more than a fanservice exercise. But it is expected that, in this case, it will be the moment when the final release date of the fourth season is announced. Season that is expected to be released throughout this 2024, even if we still have to wait for an undetermined date to find out.

The first episode of the fourth season of Kimetsu no Yaiba has a trailer… and it will premiere in theaters!

The first episode of the fourth season of Kimetsu no Yaiba has a trailer… and it will premiere in theaters! A welcome surprise brought to us by Crunchyroll and Aniplex.

Guardians of the Night: Kimetsu no Yaiba is an anime with a lot of pull. Being able to stand toe-to-toe with Attack on Titan, its popularity and fame is equivalent to that of all the great shonen, with the exception of the eternal pillars like Dragon Ball or One Piece. That’s why every announcement is a sensation in the world of anime. And every premiere is an event. In the case of the premiere of the first episode of the new season, literally.

Crunchyroll and Aniplex announced this past Thursday, January 18th, that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hashira Training Arc – will have a special premiere. Because both the last episode of the previous season, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Village of the Blacksmith Arc –, and the first episode of this new season, will receive a joint limited release in theaters worldwide. A well-deserved honor, as the first episode of this new season will be a one-hour special, justifying this particular treatment.

Starting on the 21st in Malta and ending on the 27th in Austria, Germany, and German-speaking Switzerland, what interests us the most is February 22nd, when it will be released in Spain, practically all of Latin America, and a large part of Europe. Therefore, it is expected that information will be available very soon on which cinemas will be showing this special screening of these two episodes of the series.

A few lucky ones, however, won’t have to wait that long. Crunchyroll is also doing a World Tour where they will present this same preview, with the anime’s voice actors and part of the staff. Unfortunately, out of the eight stops, only three are in Europe, located in Berlin, Paris, and London, and only one in Latin America, in Mexico City. Making this world tour a bit inconvenient for most anime fans.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hashira Training Arc – will premiere in April, with a first episode of one hour, with a date yet to be determined. It will be available on Crunchyroll, where it is already possible to watch all previous seasons of the series.

Fans Rejoice as Demon Slayer Wraps Up Season Three and Hints at What’s to Come in Season Four

Demon Slayer has concluded its third season, but we already have news about the content of its fourth season, although not its date.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has concluded its latest season with the Swordsmith Village Arc, but this time they have decided not to leave us hanging. Immediately after the arc’s conclusion, the studio announced that they will be adapting the next arc from the manga, the Hashira Training Arc. While there is no confirmed release date yet, one thing we know for sure is that it will not be a movie but rather the fourth season of the series.

In the Hashira Training Arc, the protagonist of the series, Tanjiro, trains under the stone Hashira, Gyomei Himejima, in preparation for the upcoming battle and to achieve the rank of Hashira, the highest rank within the Demon Slayer Corps. As he strives to meet Himejima’s seemingly impossible standards, the demon lord Muzan continues his pursuit of Nezuko and Ubuyashiki, moving closer to the inevitable conclusion of his plans and the story.

Being the penultimate arc before the explosive final arc of the series, it covers just a single volume of the manga. Due to its brevity, it is expected that, similar to the recently concluded third season, this arc will include anime-original content to enhance the storyline.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba premiered its first season in April 2019, adapting the first arc of the manga consisting of twenty-six episodes. The second arc of the manga was released in Japan in October 2020 as a movie titled “Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train.” The second season had to wait until October 2021, comprising eighteen episodes, with the first seven being a remake of “Mugen Train,” while the remaining eleven covered the Entertainment District Arc. The franchise’s second film, “Demon Slayer the Movie: To the Swordsmith Village,” was released on March 3, 2023, covering part of the Swordsmith Village Arc and the conclusion of the Entertainment District Arc. The third season, premiered on April 9, concluded the remaining portion of the Swordsmith Village Arc. All of these can be streamed on the Crunchyroll platform.

To learn more, we will still have to wait a bit. However, one thing is clear: we have at least two or three more years to enjoy the adventures of Tanjiro and the rest of the Demon Slayers.
