MachineGames, the acclaimed studio known for its work on titles like Wolfenstein and the new Indiana Jones game, has expressed its openness to receiving feedback and comments from players. In a recent interview with GamesRadar+, creative director Axel Torvenius emphasized that the team is “always willing to listen” to address aspects of the game that may feel “rough or unpolished.” According to Torvenius, this allows the studio to “refine” its gameplay experience in future releases, such as the Order of the Giants expansion, which will be released on September 4 and promises to keep the adventure of the iconic character fresh.
Hitting Nazis, the best addition always
Despite their willingness to receive feedback, MachineGames firmly adheres to its creative vision. Torvenius made it clear that, while they are open to criticism that improves the experience, the studio knows the direction it wants to take: “We always have this pretty strong vision about the direction of the game, about what we want to do and the story we want to tell.” This determination is a hallmark of the studio and has been crucial in the creation of its most recent projects.
Additionally, the participation of Troy Baker, known for his role in The Last of Us, was initially questioned by Todd Howard, who apparently “rolled his eyes” at the idea. However, Baker’s voice has been essential in bringing the game’s protagonist to life, suggesting that his inclusion has added significant value to the narrative.
Players can expect more adventures of Indiana Jones in the coming months, as the Order of the Giants expansion will expand the story and deepen the gaming experience, in an attempt to meet the expectations and desires of the gaming community.
