Kiwami 3, the remake of Yakuza 3, has arrived to enhance the original experience from 2009, incorporating new missions and activities while preserving the classic gameplay that captivated fans. The story follows Kazuma Kiryu, who after the events of the previous titles, finds himself running an orphanage in Okinawa. However, his peace is disrupted by antagonists seeking to destroy his home.

The remake features a significant improvement in its combat system, as Kiryu now has two styles: the traditional Dojima Dragon style and a new Ryukyu style, inspired by martial arts from Okinawa. The latter offers a defensive approach and allows for a greater variety of combos, adding a new dimension to the battles within the game.
Kiwami 3 also includes additional activities, such as interactions with a gang of female motorcyclists, and classic fun like karaoke and arcade minigames. However, the Boxcelios minigame from the original Yakuza 3 will not be present, according to confirmations from RGG, due to the departure of the programmer responsible for its creation.
In addition to Kiwami 3, players will be able to enjoy Dark Ties, a new title featuring the villain Yoshitaka Mine. This game offers a different combat style, faster and focusing on the accumulation of ‘chained hearts’, although it includes fewer substories compared to Kiryu.
Developed with the Dragon Engine, Kiwami 3 showcases stunning graphics and a detailed world that enhances the visual experience of the game. With new activities and missions that promise to maintain the series’ characteristic humor, this remake aims to attract both new players and those who have already experienced the story of Yakuza.
