Dream, Record, Awaken: Pokémon Sleep Introduces Fascinating Dream-Saver Functionality!

Audio record the most important moments that happen during your sleeping hours.

“Well, it’s happened. Nintendo has released the new Pokémon app to help us sleep, all while catching creatures here and there: ‘Pokémon Sleep’ must be used in a very specific way (with the phone turned on facing down, connected to the Internet, placed by your side on the mattress, and plugged into the power source). However, in return, it allows you to wake up with the serotonin boost from having achieved something without doing anything in return. If only life were more like ‘Pokémon Sleep’.”

But the new Pokémon app has another secret: it also records audio of the most significant moments that occur during your hours of sleep. These could range from snores to conversations with your partner, the cat knocking over a glass in the kitchen, not-so-stealthy thieves, or indeed, involuntary flatulence. Do you want to wake up and find out exactly how many disgusting sounds your body can produce when you’re not in control? This seems to be your solution.

It’s true that these recordings only last for 24 hours and then they are permanently deleted, or so they say at the company. Who knows, maybe there’s a Nintendo server dedicated solely to the population’s flatulence during their REM state. They took four years to design the application, so it’s reasonable to expect that they’ll do something interesting with all the recordings they gather.

If you are very protective of your privacy and want to ensure that soon a Pokémon won’t use your nocturnal noises as an attack sound, you can also deactivate the recording, gaining privacy at the cost of losing some hilarity and the “See? I told you, you snore!” moment with your suffering partner, to whom you’ll have to explain, in the first place, why you’re playing a game even while you sleep.

Oh, and if you happen to sleep exceptionally well, you might be rewarded with a shiny Pokémon. It’s not entirely clear whether you’ll need to produce a certain guttural sound to obtain it at night. Perhaps trying to catch them all may not be the best idea this time around.

Catch Zzz’s and Pokémon: Unveiling the Mechanics of Pokémon Sleep

‘Pokémon Sleep’, the mobile game that will help us catch creatures… while we take a nap.

There are so many Pokémon games with various iterations that catching them all has become an adventure in itself. From the toothbrushing game (‘Pokémon Smile’) to the one that encourages us to go for walks (‘Pokémon Go’), and of course, the classics, the franchise still has much to offer and many tips to share. And as evidence, we have ‘Pokémon Sleep’, the mobile game that will help us catch creatures… while taking a nap.

Hazzzzzzzting with everyone!

In a nutshell, ‘Pokémon Sleep’ seems simple: you go to sleep, place your phone next to your pillow, and let it do the rest. If you sleep deeply and for many hours, you’ll catch many Pokémon in different sleep positions, but if you sleep less, not so much. And from here, the chaos begins because, of course, it couldn’t be just a fun curiosity.

Your sleep score will be multiplied by Snorlax’s “zzz points.” The more zzz power you have, the more Pokémon will appear, and Snorlax will grow bigger. The goal is no longer just to catch them all; it’s to catch them all in different sleep positions. And to make the game “more fun,” they will record you snoring, allowing you or your partner to say, “I told you so.” Well, they don’t explain this in the trailer, but it’s clearly an unintended side effect.

The problem is that you can’t just place the phone on the nightstand while offline. You have to keep it connected to power, online, with the screen on, face down, and placed on the pillow next to you. If you move too much, well, say goodbye to your phone. Who said being a Pokémon master didn’t come with risks?

For now, we only know that ‘Pokémon Sleep’ will be released this summer, without an exact date. After the Nintendo franchise teaches us how to brush our teeth, go for walks, and sleep, we can expect the next game to teach us healthy recipes, gym routines, how to behave less passive-aggressively on the internet, and how to feel motivated in the mornings. What religion couldn’t achieve (making us behave well), Pikachu will accomplish with a powerful Thunderbolt attack.
