Zenless Zone Zero has been an expected success. No one expected it to be anything less than a sure success, not only because it comes from MiHoYo, but also because of all the anticipation it created even before its release. This has translated into an extremely popular game, which even at times eclipses the popularity of the omnipresent Genshin Impact. Something that must make the people at MiHoYo very happy. Because, in fact, they have already announced version 1.2 of Zenless Zone Zero.
The biggest novelty of this new version is that it will introduce a new area called The Outer Ring. This is a wasteland that is home to the Sons of Calydon, a biker gang that we will get to know by working with two of its members, Caesar and Burnice. In fact, we will have to help them in their confrontation against two other gangs, The Vanquishers and Overlord Pompey. This is convenient because, another major novelty of this version, is that Caesar and Burnice are added to the playable characters of the game with this update.
Among the minor changes, but no less appreciated, we also find optimizations and small additions. With this update, the TV mode will be optimized, allowing console players to have a better experience. Additionally, a new arcade game, Bizarre Brigade, will be available in Godfinger, along with several new events.
Having said all this, even though this new update takes us to desolate roads and desert terrains, we shouldn’t expect major changes in gameplay or the game’s aesthetics. As seen in the promotional video for version 1.2, named Stygian Journey, this post-apocalyptic perspective has that clean and well-polished touch that ZZZ has always shown, with no room for dirt and grime. So, if you’re expecting a bit of punk in your MiHoyo game, we’re afraid that’s not possible.
Stygian Journey, patch 1.2 of Zenless Zone Zero, will be released on September 25th for all platforms. So get ready with your best desert outfit, because a lively trip is coming.
