Wargaming has officially presented World of Tanks 2.0, a massive update for its iconic tank battle game, at the Opening Night Live event of Gamescom. The release, scheduled for September 3, is considered the most ambitious update in the history of World of Tanks, which has a 15-year presence in the market and a large player base.
World of Tanks changes forever
This new version of the game will introduce 16 new Tier XI vehicles, marking the first time this level will be part of the gameplay system. Each of these vehicles will feature unique gameplay mechanics and a specific progression system, designed to provide players with a completely new and dynamic experience. Additionally, it is expected that new Tier XI vehicles will be added in future updates, thus expanding the options for players.
Another highlighted feature of the 2.0 update will be a PvE campaign mode with a narrative focused on Tier XI tanks, set in a completely new map that players have never seen before. This adds an element of immersion and story development that many game fans have been asking for.
The game’s hangar will also undergo a significant remodel. Players will be able to assemble and equip their tanks with weapons and armor in a more immediate and efficient way, thus facilitating the customization of their vehicles on the spot. This change promises to improve accessibility and the gaming experience for all users.
World of Tanks is available on multiple platforms, including Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile devices. The download of update 2.0 will be free for PC users starting September 3, further boosting the game’s appeal among its already strong community.
