In 2025, the drug dealing simulator called Schedule 1 surprised the gaming community by becoming one of the best-selling titles on Steam, thanks to its appealing lo-fi design and gameplay. Developed by Tyler, a solo creator, the game has been praised for its immersive gameplay system and well-balanced progression, according to PC Gamer critic Chris Livingston.
Schedule 1 takes the audience by storm
Ten months after its launch, Tyler has announced that his studio, Tyler’s Video Game Studio (TVGS), has grown and now has an office in Sydney. Additionally, he has brought on a new developer, Rob, and is looking for a technical/3D artist. Tyler noted that by the end of the year, the team could consist of up to four people working on Schedule 1, which marks a significant transition from his hobby to a professional career.
Tyler expressed his sincere gratitude to the players for their support, which has allowed the team to grow. He assured that this expansion is an important step for the future of the game, and that they are working on a new patch that will include quality of life improvements and mod support.
The creator has acknowledged learning the importance of not announcing release dates until they are sure they can meet the deadlines, thus avoiding past disappointments. However, he recalled the story of Ion Storm as a warning about the dangers of rapid growth, although he did not venture to make negative predictions for TVGS.
With the new patch scheduled to be released next week and future updates on the horizon, Tyler is optimistic about the ongoing development of Schedule 1 and its potential in the competitive video game market.
