Although Ridley Scott personally ensured that the Alien universe was explored in increasingly luxurious detail, we haven’t had much luck with the saga’s movies in recent decades. However, this seems to finally come to an end thanks to ‘Alien: Romulus,’ the return to the franchise directed by Fede Álvarez scheduled for August 16th.
‘Alien: Romulus’ promised to be a return to the roots of Alien terror, and it certainly seems like it’s going to deliver. As we can see in its trailer, its tone will be completely marked by darkness. Although the preview doesn’t reveal much, we can clearly see the nightmares that this species will cause for the main crew.
Say hello to the Xenomorph
In ‘Alien: Romulus,’ a group of young people live on a distant planet. But their peaceful existence is abruptly interrupted when they come face to face with the most terrifying creature in the universe: the Xenomorph. Taking inspiration from the first film in the saga, and adding details from the second, ‘Aliens,’ it certainly seems like we will have a very interesting return to the origins.
