We apologize to Horizon fans, but for now, their planned series for Netflix doesn’t seem to be moving forward. The project, which was being developed by Steve Blackman, has indefinitely stalled.
Blackman, the showrunner behind The Umbrella Academy, has been accused of maintaining “toxic, intimidating, manipulative, and vengeful behavior“, as reported by Rolling Stone. It is not clear at the moment whether the project will continue or if it has been completely discarded. However, the accusations against Blackman have caused everything to come to a halt.
Rolling Stone published an extensive article at the end of June exposing Blackman’s misconduct during the production of The Umbrella Academy. The publication made public the complaints of former writers of the series and part of the staff, who described their experience as one of the most “tumultuous” of their careers.
