What has been a tradition for many years will come to an end in 2024. Yes, dear League of Legends players, Amazon will no longer give us monthly rewards for Prime Gaming.

Riot Games has officially announced in a new tweet that their Prime Gaming skin and rewards promotions will end in March 2024… and for all their games.

The announcement does not confirm an exact end date and also does not explain exactly why the renewal of the agreement fell through in the first place.

Fortunately, players can still claim drops until the end date and keep that content in their account after the promotions end.

Goodbye to the most successful collaboration in Prime Gaming’s history

These Prime Gaming promotions have been among the most popular, including massive titles like League of Legends and Valorant. This collaboration has been a real incentive for players to invest in Prime Gaming.

In my case, I have been redeeming rewards for a couple of years without interruption, and it was one of the reasons why I paid for the Amazon subscription (although I will continue to do so for the other benefits).

Riot Games has been a powerhouse in the eSports gaming scene. And Prime Gaming promotions are usually related to them. It will be really strange for Riot Games to lose countless references to eSports teams and events.

We hope that Riot Games explains why Prime Gaming ultimately decided not to renew. Although, from this breakup, the one who is really harmed is Amazon, which enjoyed the huge League of Legends community.
