How much would you be willing to pay for a simple skin in ‘League of Legends’? They believe it’s half a salary

Yes, the rewards of the more expensive battle pass include a special banner, a title, many rewards, and the skins, but it costs just 59,260 RPs. That is, 500 euros. A little gift. Let’s see who can resist.

There are those who believe that many DLCs and all skins are simple ways for developers to make money from a fan base that wants to differentiate themselves in online battles in some way, whether it’s wearing Peter Griffin’s skin or using a ‘Terminator’ weapon. But, according to the studios, they assure us that this is completely and categorically false. In other news, ‘League of Legends’ has just released a skin that costs 500 euros.

League of Money

The idea of Riot is very good: to reward the best esports players in the history of their flagship game with custom skins for their favorite heroes. The first chosen one has been, of course, Faker, the world champion and possibly the best player to ever grace the competitive scene.

There will be two skins for Ahri associated with Faker, each with its own battle pass and corresponding rewards: Rising Legend, Immortal Legend and, in addition, Immortalized Signature Legend, which will have both. Yes, the prizes of the most expensive battle pass grant a special banner, a title, many rewards and the skins, but it costs 59260 RPs. In other words, 500 euros. A little gift. Let’s see who can resist.

It’s not that the Immortalized version is particularly cheap: it will come with emotes and icons for 300 euros, while the regular one will cost 50 euros. Which is already a notoriously expensive price for not providing any additional content in the final game.

It is important to note that Faker himself has said more than once that he prefers to buy skins when they are on sale, and possibly, if he could, he would ask fans not to spend 500 euros on this absurdity just for the most coffee lovers. Think about everything you could buy with that money, and then consider if you really prefer to spend it on making your hero look a little different from the rest.

The worst part is that if it works as expected at Riot, it will mean the beginning of the end. And we complained about the rise in tomato prices: the real inflation was in ‘League Of Legends’.

The most beautiful relationship in video games is over: LoL and Amazon Prime break up

It’s time to see with what final Prime Gaming reward they bid farewell to this historic collaboration. Let’s hope it’s worth it and that they send it off in style…

What has been a tradition for many years will come to an end in 2024. Yes, dear League of Legends players, Amazon will no longer give us monthly rewards for Prime Gaming.

League of Legends DOWNLOAD

Riot Games has officially announced in a new tweet that their Prime Gaming skin and rewards promotions will end in March 2024… and for all their games.

The announcement does not confirm an exact end date and also does not explain exactly why the renewal of the agreement fell through in the first place.

Fortunately, players can still claim drops until the end date and keep that content in their account after the promotions end.

Goodbye to the most successful collaboration in Prime Gaming’s history

These Prime Gaming promotions have been among the most popular, including massive titles like League of Legends and Valorant. This collaboration has been a real incentive for players to invest in Prime Gaming.

In my case, I have been redeeming rewards for a couple of years without interruption, and it was one of the reasons why I paid for the Amazon subscription (although I will continue to do so for the other benefits).

Riot Games has been a powerhouse in the eSports gaming scene. And Prime Gaming promotions are usually related to them. It will be really strange for Riot Games to lose countless references to eSports teams and events.

We hope that Riot Games explains why Prime Gaming ultimately decided not to renew. Although, from this breakup, the one who is really harmed is Amazon, which enjoyed the huge League of Legends community.

Let’s see what Prime Gaming’s latest reward is to say goodbye to this historic collaboration. We hope it’s worth it and they give it a grand farewell, although if the breakup has been abrupt, we might be left wanting more.

The executive producer of League of Legends leaves the Summoner’s Rift

Jeremy “Brightmoon” Lee, the executive producer of League of Legends, has announced his departure from Riot Games. He has led the massive LoL team for almost a decade, joining the studio in 2015 as Riot’s lead gameplay producer before becoming the executive producer.

League of Legends DOWNLOAD

The announcement comes as part of the latest League of Legends developer update, where Brightmoon discusses rank rewards and monetization alongside the MOBA’s Senior Vice President, Andrei ‘Meddler’ van Roon. In this video, Brightmoon reveals that he has “decided it’s the right time for me to step away from my current role.”

The former executive producer states that although 2023 has been a “whirlwind” for both the LoL community and the development team, the updates Riot has been “able to deliver” have been “very rewarding.” He mentions that in the “coming months,” he’ll pass the baton to a new executive producer. Despite Brightmoon’s departure announcement, this veteran producer won’t disappear entirely.

“You’ll still see me at Season Start,” he continues, “and possibly in some other things early in the year as we search for our next EP to lead the game.” Brightmoon also doesn’t completely leave the studio’s ranks, as he reveals that he’ll take on other undisclosed roles at Riot: “While this is bittersweet, it’s definitely not a goodbye.”

For many League of Legends fans, the news has come as a shock. While some praise Brightmoon’s open communication, others thank him for his dedication to the game. While most responses refer to the developer’s departure, others question the video’s discussion on the game’s honor system and await more news about changes in monetization, as Brightmoon hints that we’ll have more news soon.

Riot skips fixing a major LoL bug because… it's too much work

If you’ve been playing League of Legends for a while, chances are you’ve experienced a bug that causes characters walking along the river in Summoner’s Rift to appear lower than the terrain on both sides. Well, if you had hopes that Riot Games would fix this bug someday, we regret to inform you that it’s not going to happen.

As confirmed by Riot, this League of Legends issue, known as the ‘elevation bug,‘ is not going away, despite the Summoner’s Rift map undergoing a series of massive changes that will alter the game for the 2024 preseason.

The elevation bug is related to the design of the river in League of Legends, which is lower than the surrounding terrain. For this reason, any ability launched toward or from within the river area may be targeting the wrong location because the heights are not leveled. This has been bothering fans for years, and they have campaigned for Riot to fix it.

The problem, as stated this week by Matt ‘Phroxzon Leung-Harrison, the head of balance for League of Legends, is that the technical changes needed to eliminate the terrain elevation bug would require too much work for the developers. Additionally, the changes that fans want would take away a significant amount of time that could be spent on other projects.

The biggest hurdle the League of Legends developers encountered when considering fixing the elevation issue was that the game’s entire source code would need a “re-architecture” to allow a change at that level.

While the Riot team was initially interested in investing that time, developers soon realized it was going to be a very tough job. ‘Removing the height is much harder than it seems,’ admitted Leung-Harrison.

After this, the developers ended up making the unpopular decision: instead of losing an entire season of progress for the game, they would simply ‘design within the current limitations of the map.’ This has been Riot’s ‘modus operandi’ since the remodeling of the Summoner’s Rift in 2014, the last time something of this magnitude happened in the preseason.

Riot Games announces new boy band “Heartsteel”

Riot Games, known for its gaming innovations, has unveiled its latest musical venture: the boy band Heartsteel. If you recall Riot’s past hits like “K/DA,” you’re in for something different.

League of Legends DOWNLOAD

Heartsteel joins Riot’s music band lineup

Heartsteel is not your run-of-the-mill League of Legends musical group. Riot Games dubs them bold, unafraid individuals aiming to express themselves without constraints. Their mission? To achieve success on their terms, drawing inspiration from diverse musical styles.

Maria Egan, Global Head of Music & Events at Riot Games Entertainment, explains, “The idea of an all-male band has long been speculated on by fans, and we’re so excited to bring this fantasy to life. HEARTSTEEL is a deep collaboration between all our talented in-house creative teams and some incredible new artists. The ethos of HEARTSTEEL is a supergroup of musical soulmates greater than the sum of its parts – a philosophy that our community embodies every day through their dedication to our games.”

K/DA Credit: Riot Games

Heartsteel joins Riot Games’ lineup of virtual music groups alongside K/DA (K-pop), Pentakill (heavy metal), and True Damage (hip-hop). These groups have already made their mark at the League of Legends World Championships. On November 19th, Heartsteel might add their name to that illustrious list.

Heartsteel lineup and roles

The Heartsteel lineup is an eclectic mix of talent that catches the eye. Baekhyun takes on the role of Ezreal, ZI becomes Sett, Tobi Lou embodies K’Sante, and Cal Scruby assumes the persona of Kayn. The ensemble also features iconic League of Legends characters Yone and Aphelios. Yone takes the mantle of the group’s ‘producer,’ while Aphelios handles the ‘instrumentalist and songwriter’ role. As for their vocal contributions, that remains a well-guarded secret.

Riot Games’ musical journey began with the launch of K/DA in 2018, featuring members of (G)I-DLE, Madison Beer, and Jaira Burns. The virtual metal sensation Pentakill and the hip-hop act True Damage took center stage after that. Riot has left a lasting imprint in the virtual music arena.

With their debut single, “Paranoia,” on the horizon, Heartsteel is gearing up to make waves in the virtual music world. Can they rival the legendary K/DA? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: Heartsteel is set to etch its mark on the League of Legends musical legacy. Keep an eye out for “Paranoia” and witness the emergence of Heartsteel, a new phenomenon in the League of Legends universe. Stay tuned for their journey at the intersection of music and gaming!

League of Legends getting a new top-tier tank

Say hello to K’Sante. He’s a brand new addition to the League of Legends roster and according to his stats, he’s terrifying to face off against. K’Sante hails from an independent southern city-state within the greater Shurima region. Even though this city-state, Nazumah, has managed to remain independent from the Shurima and Ixtal, it’s surrounded by monsters. This is apparently not a bad thing, however, and seems to serve as part of K’Sante’s abilities as a Warden.

League of Legends DOWNLOAD

K’Sante and his fellow Nazumah-ites don’t seem to scare easily and end up using the hides of the terrifying monsters to craft armor, and their bones to make weapons. Riot recently gave us a cinematic look at the tanky new LoL legend, and we’ve also now got a full list of his abilities.

As mentioned above, K’Sante is a Warden. Warden basically tells you that he’s part of League’s protective crew. He carries twin weapons crafted from monster hide and bones, and if he uses his Ultimate, he morphs into a Skirmisher. At this point, he can dive and hunt his enemy down with animalistic precision.

Here are K’Sante’s abilities:

Ultimate: All Out – K’Sante will shatter his weapons and knock his enemy back while dealing damage. If his enemies hit a wall, they’ll take even more damage and be briefly stunned. K’Sante will also dash after his target and, for an extended duration, he will go All Out, as the name of the ability implies.

Dauntless Instinct – This is his passive ability. This ability lets K’Sante mark his enemies. If he then attacks marked enemies, he will deal more damage. He’ll deal even more damage with this ability when he’s All Out

Ntofo Strikes – With this ability, K’Sante will slam his weapon down, creating a small area around him within which targets will take damage. He can also fire a shockwave that pulls enemies towards himself.

League of Legends getting a new top-tier tank

Pathmaker – This is K’Sante’s defensive stance. With this ability, he will become both an unstoppable force and an immovable object. He’ll deal max health damage if he rams enemies with this ability, and he’ll knock them back and stun them as he passes through them.

Footwork – With this ability, K’Sante will gain a shield while dashing. An ally can gain protection from the shield too, if K’Sante dashes toward them. This personifies his role as a protective force

We’re excited to try K’Sante and his abilities out from the 3rd of November.
In other LoL news, Riot is launching a new free-to-play experience currently known as League of Legends Project L.

League of Legends Project L fighting game will be free-to-play with monetization

This isn’t Riot’s first adventure with free-to-play games, as fans of League of Legends and Valorant will know. The upcoming 2D fighting game from the LoL universe, Project L, will also cost you nothing unless, of course, you buy in-game items. As an exciting update, the champion Illaoi will be one of the selectable characters.

League of Legends DOWNLOAD

The news follows an update by the developer and publisher, Riot Games. The plan was always to keep the game free while allowing players to buy extra items if they wish. Tom Cannon, the executive producer for Project L, says that they’ll be considerate when asking for your money. They want to ensure that the main focus is on the game and not profits.

As for the champion Illaoi, a recent blog post shows the lengthy process when deciding on and developing a character for Project L. Once the team has decided which character to work on next from the roster of fighters, there’s a lot to be done. Team meetings are abundant, tasks are handed out in quick succession, and there’s loads of project management happening between various disciplines.

It’s impressive to see how much thinking goes into a champion like Illaoi for the Project L fighting game. Some of the factors include themes, archetypes, fight fantasy, race, personality, and more. That means we’re bound to receive more lore and origin stories for the characters than we currently see in League of Legends.

League of Legends Project L fighting game

It’s almost as exciting as when League of Legends: Wild Rift introduced new champions and content last month. If the development blog is anything to go by, Project L is bound to be one fantastic 2D fantasy fighting game.

League of Legends: Wild Rift to introduce new champions and content

Riot Games has officially announced all of the new content coming to League of Legends in the Wild Rift update. Besides numerous new skins, the upcoming update 3.3 will also feature new events, a new game mode, wild pass, champions, items, and much more.

League of Legends DOWNLOAD

The new Wild Rift update to League of Legends will change a good deal about the game. As of the update, Elemental Rift will become the official default map for all Summoner’s Rift game modes. Upon the start of each game, the terrain map will also change to one of the elements. This way, the Elemental Rift update will satisfy player agency and the team goals associated therewith.

The update also introduces active item swapping which will increase player flexibility as far as enchantments are concerned. Players don’t need to sell their boots to change to a different active through the shop, although this will initiate a short cooldown for your active and cost you some gold.

You’ll also be able to play around with the new Repulsor Enchant which will knock enemies back within a small area around you. It’ll also knock you back if you’re anywhere near the blast.

Here is a list of all the new skins that will be added alongside Season 6:

  • Star Guardian Ahri
  • Star Guardian Miss Fortune
  • Redeemed Star Guardian Rakan
  • Star Guardian Orianna
  • Star Guardian Rakan
  • Redeemed Star Guardian Xayah
  • Star Guardian Senna
  • Star Guardian Seraphine
  • Glorious Crimson Fiora
  • Star Guardian Xayah
  • Stargazer Karma
  • God Fist Lee Sin
  • Dragon Trainer Tristana
  • Beekeeper Singed
  • Harbinger Kassadin
  • Pool Party Caitlyn
  • Pool Party Graves
  • Warmonger Sion
  • Pool Party Dr. Mundo
  • Pool Party Ziggs
  • Warring Kingdoms Katarina
  • PsyOps Kayle
  • PsyOps Master Yi
  • Warring Kingdoms Jarvan IV
  • PsyOps Samira
  • PsyOps Zed
  • Warring Kingdoms Katarina
  • Lunar Goddess Diana

We’ll also get a new Wild Pass with the update, which will allow you to obtain level 50. As seen above, Star Guardian also joins the Wild Rift update and you will now be able to collect Star Candies and other unique loot during event participation.

You’ll be able to track your mission completion and token collection during event participation with the Redeemed Star Guardian event pass and you’ll be able to pick up extra tokens at the store.

That’s all we have for you on the new Wild Rift update. The update is available on mobile devices now and you can download it directly from our website. In other Riot news, the developer is looking to slow down the League of Legends combat pace.

Riot looking to slow down League of Legends combat pace

League of Legends is known as being a really fast-paced battle experience, and while many enjoy that the average duration for a team fight these days is around 14 seconds, Riot recently alluded to the fact that the uptick in gameplay speed may have been an overcorrection. The studio has also announced that they intend to ‘slow the pace of combat’ in the coming changes.

League of Legends DOWNLOAD

We’re 13 years into League of Legends’ lifespan now, and, understandably, this isn’t your older brother’s LoL anymore. Gone are the days where team fights could keep you busy for as long as a full minute, and the entire game seems to have undergone a massive shift toward much shorter durations of combat. A recent Reddit thread acknowledges this change that has occurred within the game over the years and even saw the leading gameplay designer at Riot, Bryan Salvatore, known on Reddit as Riot Axes, address possible changes in the game’s future surrounding its fast-paced nature. When posed a question about time-to-kill in League of Legends matches, Ryan had the following to say:

‘We believe League of Legends is best when it is on average be[ing] fast-paced and exciting. But yeah I think it would be fair to say it has overcorrected towards damage, which is hitting away at clarity (‘I can tell what just killed me’ / ‘I can tell what I should have done differently’) and skill expression (‘That assassin/mage hit their whole kit, so they earned the kill’).’

Salvatore also pointed out that Riot’s primary focus at this stage has nothing to do with mage supports. He went further to say that even though the mages’ damage output could be construed as outsized, it’s not a new concept within the context of the game and is ‘not the cause for any recent damage creep.’

In another statement, Salvatore said: ‘Allowing players to pick damage-oriented supports and get enough gold to really scale with them was a major part of the changes that ultimately solved support autofill problems and we’d be hesitant to go back on those. We’d prefer to tune durability around the reality that many teams swap a defensive character (support or tank) for a damage dealing one and balance the two approaches against each other.’

As of yet, we have no established timeline for when the intended changes could hit the game. But one thing Salvatore was clear on is that the studio would reveal more information ‘within the next few weeks.’

While you wait for Riot to release more on the changes they intend to make to LoL gameplay, why not delve headfirst into our tips and tricks for League of Legends?

How to play LOL with tips and tricks!

League of Legends is an exhilarating online game where you take on online opponents to become champion. Not only did it take the gaming world by storm, but there are LOL esports competitions, too.

Of course, you can’t just jump into the game and expect to win against the veterans. You’ll need to learn how to play LOL and the top features that will help you gain an advantage

What is LOL?

League of Legends is a game in which two teams of five strong champions battle to destroy the other team’s base, also known as the nexus. You choose your champions, who will do the PvP (Player vs Player) fighting for you, from more than 140 candidates. They’ll do battle on your behalf and hopefully secure your victory if they use the right strategy, which is what the game’s all about.

Riot Games launched League of Legends as a free MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena) game in 2009. It was updated 13 times before the latest update that took place on September 16, 2021. The game has developed a large fan base over the years as its popularity has grown to make it one of the top games in esports.

how to play LOL

First pick your champion

In LOL, 5 players per side, or 10 players in total, fight on Summoners’ Rift across 3 lanes (top, mid and bottom), with jungle between them. Each player controls one character or champion.

There are different types of champions: assassins (potential killers), bruisers (good melee fighters), mages (who use magic), tanks (who do a lot of damage),  ADC (physical damage champions), and support (a mix of mage and tank). Each type of champion is best suited to one or two of the lanes.

How to play LOL

To win LOL, you have to push down your lanes, demolish the enemies’ towers and overcome their nexus. You’llYou’ll have to kill champions and fight monsters and minions. You can play inside the jungle, from where you can dictate and control the game. You have to learn the art of ganking to attack lanes, which will get your team ahead of the rest.

In League of Legends, you’ll be able to access summoner spells to help you win your fights on the Rift. There are many spells, including heals, teleports, shields, and one to make you move faster. You can also use runes to alter your playing style.

Tips and Tricks

With a better understanding of how to play LOL, here are some tips and tricks to improve your game and become the ultimate champion.

How to communicate

There are two ways to communicate with your team: By typing (pressing enter) or using the ping system. The ping wheel (use it by holding the ‘G’ key and then dragging your mouse over the ping) is used to tell your team what’s going on quickly. The pings are:

? – tell your team someone’s missing.

! – warning of danger.

Flag – Ask for help.

Here/coming – tell your team you’re on your way.

Be sure to check our guide on some of the League of Legends apps that may help.

Learn the game’s modes

Blind pick: With this 5v5 mode, you pick the champion you like, but you don’t know the enemy team’s composition until the game starts. You’ll also have to name your lane or role in the chat before you play.

Draft pick: This is LOL’s standard mode, in which teams take turns to ban champions and then make their pick among them. Each side bars one champion per player before they choose their champions.

Ranked: Sometimes called Solo Q, pits you against people with similar skills after you’ve played five placement matches. You choose champions in the same way as draft pick. You can play ranked solo or with a partner, who must be just one rank away from you. The ranks start with Iron, go on to Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond, all the way up to Master, then Grand Master, and Challenger.

Ranked flex: This works the same way as Solo Q and Ranked, but you play in groups of 1, 2, 3, and 5.

Riot Games sometimes updates League of Legends with other modes. Among the latest is Teamfight Tactics (TFT), in which opponents challenge one another on a board like chess.

Is League of Legends free?

League of Legends is free to play, but you can spend real money if you want to. Two currencies are part of the game, Influence Points (IP) and Riot Points (RP). You get IP in battles. Then you can use them to get useful items like runes to boost your skills.

You can buy RP with funds you get when you make conquests and then get items like champion skins. But with cash, it’s faster to claim skins, abilities, and other items.

how to play LOL

Why is LOL popular?

To sum up its appeal, League of Legends is one of the most popular MOBA games by far because it’s fun to fight opponents in bloody fantasy matches.

One benefit gamers like is that LOL gets updated regularly. There are even new champions with different abilities. While the PC version has had the most attention, the game is now available on smartphones and tablets as League of Legends: Wild Rift

League of Legends is not that easy for beginners to master, and not everyone is prepared to put in the time to do so, but once you’ve become battle-hardened, you’ll think the effort was well worth it.
