Fans of the series will be able to follow the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, in their quest to reach the legendary Grand Line, a sea full of dangers and surprises.

A first season that was a huge success

The first season, which was released in 2020, achieved over 71 million views, establishing itself as the most-watched series on Netflix in the second half of 2023.

This remarkable success has allowed One Piece to break the curse that live-action adaptations of anime have historically suffered, something that other projects like Cowboy Bebop failed to overcome, being canceled after just one season.

The quick renewal of One Piece for a second season was announced just two weeks after the premiere of the first, illustrating Netflix’s confidence in the project. Actors Iñaki Godoy and Taz Skylar will return to portray Luffy and Sanji, respectively, and will be joined by other main cast members, including Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, and Morgan Davies.

The story of One Piece will not stop at the second season. Recently, Netflix has confirmed the production of a third season, which began in November 2025, indicating a continuity that excites the fans of the series.
