The teaser trailer for Ballerina makes it clear that the movie will live up to the John Wick saga.

The universe of John Wick continues to expand with Ballerina, the highly anticipated spin-off starring Ana de Armas, which promises to maintain the level of action and style that has defined the franchise. During the Comic Con Experience 2024 (CCXP24) in Brazil, Lionsgate presented a teaser trailer that confirms this new installment will not only honor the legacy of its predecessor, but also add a unique dose of elegance and ferocity to the story.

The trailer offers a clear view of the film’s intensity: stylized combat choreography, lethal use of weapons, and moments of pure adrenaline that evoke the best of the previous films. Additionally, the connection with Keanu Reeves’ character is present, as John Wick appears as a mentor and ally at key moments, strengthening the ties between this new story and the main saga.

The John Wick universe expands

In Ballerina, Ana de Armas plays Eve Macarro, a young woman trained by the Ruska Roma organization since childhood, the same one that trained the legendary John Wick. The plot follows her quest to avenge her father’s murder, facing a network of enemies that will take her to the darkest corners of the John Wick universe.
