The Boys is a unique series, and it’s become the most-watched gem of Amazon Prime Video, conquering millions of viewers worldwide. This raw new perspective on superheroes is shaping up to be as interesting as Marvel’s universe, and it’s winning over viewers who were tired of the same old stories.
Now that we know the series will have at least five seasons, all that’s left for us to do is to wait for the fourth to premiere, where we expect the fierce battle between Homelander and Butcher to be still going strong. And in a new clip that’s just been revealed, it is more than clear that the war continues with more passion than ever.
Appearing as third party in the conflict
In the newly revealed clip by Prime Video, we see a very interesting dialogue between the two protagonists. It’s not just that they must fight one other, they also have their son in the middle. Each man wants to take the son on a different path, though the boy seems to be leaning towards Homelander.
Gen V, the recent spin-off of The Boys, has already hinted that it’s an incredible and expanding world. However, we were all anticipating the main series and its protagonists: Billy Butcher and Homelander. Now, with this first look, they’ve made it very clear that there’s going to be much more about them.
At the moment, we don’t know much about what’ll happen in Season 4, but everything seems to suggest that the Patriot will find himself in his most precarious moment since it’s evident that, no matter what he does, he still has the public’s favor. This will unleash the anger of the Butcher and his posse, and if we add to that the controversial outcome of Gen V, which will have very serious consequences in the main series, everything points to one of the most sadistic and interesting seasons to date.
