On Wednesday, July 10th, the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked took place, where the South Korean brand presented its latest innovations in telephones and wearable devices. Specifically, we are referring to the new Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Ring, and more.
Taking advantage of the event framework, Samsung released a series of “unboxings” on its official YouTube channel for each of its devices, accompanied by a review of all their specifications. The video of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, its flagship, was one of the first to appear. Each presentation highlights the most outstanding features of each one: design, colors, size, camera, processor, and, of course, integration with Galaxy AI.
Next, we have the Galaxy Z Flip 6, similar in spirit to the Fold but also much cheaper.
However, not everything was going to be about mobile phones. Samsung has also presented its bet to compete face-to-face against the Apple Watch Ultra, the Galaxy Watch Ultra. Presented as the most advanced smartwatch of the company, it has a screen capable of reaching 3,000 nits of brightness and new advanced health-tracking features. One of them, sleep apnea monitoring, is validated by the FDA itself. This milestone has made it the first smartwatch to achieve it.
Even headphones are not exempt from AI. The new Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, similar in design to Apple’s headphones, introduce the Interpreter feature. This feature can send a translation of your speech to the speaker of a Galaxy device, for example.
Finally, we have Samsung’s version of the Oura ring, the Galaxy Ring. Although it is not exactly cheap, we won’t have to pay a subscription to see our health data, as is currently the case with Oura. Through Galaxy Health, we will be able to check our heart rate and skin temperature, as well as analyze our sleep phases.
