The God of War series, produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television, continues to generate exciting news regarding its cast. Recently, it was confirmed that Ed Skrein will portray the iconic Baldur, one of the most memorable antagonists from the video games.

Skrein, known for his roles in action films like Deadpool and Alita: Battle Angel, also made his mark in the Game of Thrones series as the first Daario Naharis.

We already know almost the entire cast

Baldur, in the God of War universe, is presented as a powerful and enraged deity, which indicates that Skrein will have a wide range of intense action scenes and spectacular confrontations at his disposal.

The choice of an actor with experience in these types of roles suggests that the production is taking seriously the delivery of a faithful and exciting representation of the character.

So far, the casting of the series has progressed quickly, with most of the relevant characters already confirmed. Ryan Hurst will play Kratos, while Callum Vinson will portray Atreus.

Additionally, Mandy Patinkin will be Odin, and Thor will be played by Ólafur Darri Ólafsson. Other characters like Mimir and Heimdall will also have assigned actors, completing a strong and diverse cast.

With the recent inclusion of Skrein, the number of characters we still don’t know who will be played by has significantly decreased. The next big announcement is expected to be the revelation of the actor who will portray Tyr, a giant god in Norse mythology.
