We have bad news: the ads have already arrived on Prime Video in Spain

Amazon has managed to launch its new policy at the ideal moment, at least for its commercial interests, since the Fallout series is one of the most anticipated.

On April 11th, Prime Video will premiere one of the most anticipated series in the history of the Amazon platform. For that reason, we assume, they have hurried to establish the new advertising policy worldwide today.

As you may know, Amazon decided to imitate Netflix’s policy a few months ago, when it announced that advertisements would be coming to its streaming video platform by 2024. For those who wanted to avoid them, they would only have to pay 1.99 euros per month.

This surprised everyone, as Prime Video was until now the best platform in terms of content/price. Now things are starting to level out with the rest of the companies: Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Apple TV+, and others.

Many of us were surprised this morning when we turned on the TV and opened the Prime Video app, as we do every day, to see a warning: A change in Prime Video. That change is that now they will show us ads during the movies and series we watch.

For those who want to enjoy an ad-free streaming, the toll is clear: 1.99 euros per month or, in other words, 24 euros per year rounded. It’s true that it’s not much, but it’s already more than what we were paying yesterday.
