But there is a change that fans of The Batman have not entirely liked. In the original movie, the character of the mobster Carmine Falcone is played by John Turturro, yet he was replaced by Mark Strong in the series. But why was this change made? Turturro himself explained it in Variety.

They have crossed John Turturro’s red line

“In the series, there was a lot of violence towards women, and that’s not my thing,” the actor explains. This would be his red line for not appearing on the show. According to him, the difference with The Batman is that this violence appeared “off-screen,” a subtlety that convinced him much more.
