World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is the newest expansion to the popular MMO game and will finally be taking players to the long-awaited Dragon Isles. Here, players will meet a brand new race that has recently awakened. This new race also introduces a brand new class that has never been represented in World of Warcraft before.
Players will meet the Dracthyr race, humanoid-looking dragons that can transform into humans at will. This new race doesn’t just add to the storyline of Dragonflight. This race also introduces a whole new class that hasn’t been seen before. The Dracthur will serve as a transforming and cross-faction player race.
The Dracthur fall just below the Alliances Worgen and the Pandaren, respectively, although the race is much more unique. Unlike the Worgen and Pandaren, the Dracthur are intrinsically linked to the new Evoker class.
The Evoker class will be the first-ever ranged class Blizzard has added to the game. All the previous post-releases classes like the Death Knights, Monks and Demon Hunters are melee-focused. The new Evoker class will be able to wear mail armor, which has been seriously lacking in other classes. Also, this unique class offers both a spellcaster and healing specialization.
The developers were focused on synergy when creating this new class and race combo. That is clear to see how completely new this combination is in World of Warcraft. There will be many different ways to customize your Dracthur character despite it being a single class and race. There are even more options for customization than seen with the Demon Hunters.
Evokers will be able to knock opponents back using their tails, breathe fire and also buffet against attacks using their wings. They will also be able to lift into the air using an ability called Soar and cast spells while airborne. Evokers will also be a highly mobile spellcasting race, and while not quite as mobile as Demon Hunters, the spellcasting component more than makes up for it.
This new race and class that are inseparable from one another could shape up to be a powerful character when used properly.
