The biggest fans of The Sims 4 know there is no one correct way to play. Some prefer to recreate stories with their sims. Others simply enjoy building out worlds. There is another type of player who can spend hundreds of hours just creating Sims. A new update includes a feature that is sure to delight these players.
On the occasion of the arrival of the latest expansion Lovestruck, EA and Maxis held a live-streamed event, where they detailed some of the news that we will see soon in The Sims 4.
One of them is the new “Apply to All” button, which will be used for makeup, accessories, and hairstyles on your Sims. This feature is especially welcome, as selecting the right cosmetics for a Sim used to be a rather tedious task.
But why was it tedious? As fans of the saga well know, the Sims have several outfits, which vary depending on the activity they perform or the situation they are in. The everyday appearance is the most visible, but they also have a sports set, a formal one, one for swimming in the pool, and many more.
For example, if you wanted to make a Sim wear simple glasses in all of their outfits, you had to select it manually. That meant going set by set, navigating through all the menus and choosing the desired accessory. Luckily, you can forget all that: thanks to this new button, you will be able to apply style changes globally and with just one click.
However, this is not the only important feature that The Sims 4 will receive. In fact, players of the base game will be able to make their Sims practice polyamory. To start, you can turn two Sims into a couple from the Create a Sim menu itself. In addition, romantic boundaries will also change. The new update will add four different settings for you to establish what the limits of Sims are when it comes to love. Are your Sims jealous? Or do they have no respect for anything related to commitment? You decide here.
