If you are a regular player of The Sims 4, it is likely that you have encountered many errors in your games: constant frame drops, expansions that don’t work properly, etc. EA knows that this is not an isolated problem, so from now on, The Sims 4 will have a specific team dedicated to solving them all.
The continuous technical problems of the life simulator have been a burden for the fan community for years. After acknowledging the frustration of the players, EA states that this new team will help improve “the core game experience” and solve the most reported issues by users.
Thus, the company has shared on its social networks a statement where it briefly explains how it plans to act to solve this situation in the future. For EA, the creation of this team would also mean an increase in the number of patches for The Sims 4 and their frequency of release.
In the statement, they also affirm that the first of these patches will be released at the end of May. After this, players should receive a new update every two months approximately. Here is the list with all the May fixes (called Laundry List).
The update that will take place in May will optimize the game on “all platforms to use less memory”. Thanks to this change, users will experience fewer unexpected closures, a higher frame rate, and a more responsive gameplay in general.
While The Sims 4 is getting ready, its future sequel is still being prepared in the shadows. Project Rene, the codename for The Sims 5, was announced in 2022 and little is known about it, apart from the gameplay leaks that a user posted on Reddit.
