‘Hogwarts Legacy‘ is receiving its first major update since its launch last year, but fans are not very happy with what’s coming. The RPG set in the magical world of Harry Potter was one of the most successful video games of last year, so when it was announced that it would receive a free DLC in the summer, expectations were very high.
A few days ago, developer Avalanche Software confirmed that the new update for ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ will be available this week, and it’ll include a photo mode, plus “The Enchanted Shop of Hogsmeade” DLC mission (previously exclusive to PlayStation), as well as new appearances for the mounts that’ll be added, Harry Potter glasses, and new clothing. However, beyond this, the update has left fans quite disappointed.
“Is that it?” wrote a player on Twitter. “All this time and the only thing we’re really going to get is the photo mode and a couple of new outfits?” Another user added, “Is that all? After so much waiting? No NG+. No quidditch. A photo mode that should have been there from the beginning. The Hogsmeade mission that’s already available for PS players. Useless cosmetics. Let me uninstall it as soon as possible”.

A few weeks ago, the team behind ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ tried to manage expectations for the June update, but that hasn’t stopped fans from expressing their discontent. One mode that players were hoping for was the New Game Plus, so the lack of this feature is somewhat strange, especially if the goal of the update is to get people to play ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ again.
