Microsoft Excel adds support for pivot tables on iPad
The Microsoft Excel service on iPads will be enhanced with a new feature that will benefit Apple tablet users, as support for editing pivot tables will be added to the digital device. Therefore, any iPad user, through Excel, will improve their user experience with an advancement that benefits the consumer within the bitten apple ecosystem.
Microsoft Excel has been for many years a fundamental program for millions of companies and employees, which also makes it one of the computer systems that supports the world. While it may not be a very popular program for many, it is undeniable that it is a cornerstone of many jobs and businesses.
Although it may be surprising to some, Microsoft Excel is a widely used service on Apple devices. In fact, they can be particularly useful on iPads in a work environment. That’s why Microsoft has improved Excel on this device so that pivot tables can function correctly within its operating system.
This has been shared by Microsoft through a post on their blog, highlighting the value of iPads now being able to natively work with pivot tables, something that will allow for much more efficient management in many business environments.
Copilot, Microsoft’s hope
Except for globally popular services like Word or Excel, many other areas of Microsoft have been much less used by users, especially considering that Windows is the most widely used operating system on the planet. In fact, one of the goals of Copilot, the AI they launched in 2023, is to make many of their applications that are usually underutilized by the community more attractive.
An example of this is Microsoft Edge, the browser that retired Internet Explorer and, despite being very useful and efficient as a browser, and being pre-installed on Windows devices, many times the only time it is used is to download Chrome, Firefox, Opera or the browser that the user decides. In fact, even Microsoft has started actively asking users why they don’t want to use Edge and they don’t understand why users continue to choose competing services.
