EA and Bit Reactor have pushed out Star Wars: Zero Company version 1.2, and it’s live now. The Clone Wars mercenary-squad tactics game picks up a new set of optional campaign modifiers, a wider balance pass, lower Upgrade Facility unlock costs, and a substantial batch of bug fixes.
If you’re starting a fresh campaign, you can switch on harsher rules. EA and Bit Reactor say those options include smaller max-health gains from Focus Points, assist shots that are no longer guaranteed to land, and a rule that keeps squadmates who dislike each other from getting the benefit of shared upgrades.
The studios also reworked classes and named characters. That includes nerfs for some of the stronger choices, Cly among them, while also cutting a lot of base-progression costs after complaints that the tactical layer had gotten too forgiving and that upgrades were priced too high.
EA and Bit Reactor say version 1.2 also clears up softlocks, targeting problems, inconsistent Overwatch behavior, and performance issues. If you play Star Wars: Zero Company often, this is an update you’ll probably want right away, especially since the game has sold more than 1 million copies since launching on August 27, 2026, according to EA, even as Steam player counts have dropped from a peak of 77,889 to roughly 2,600 in mid-October.
Zero Company comes from Bit Reactor’s XCOM veterans, with EA publishing alongside Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games. This patch arrives after a rough stretch that, earlier reports said, left about 80% of Bit Reactor furloughed before many of those staffers returned in early October.
You can download the update now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
