The most promising football player in the world… does not appear in EA Sports FC 24

There is a boy who is only 16 years old and is triumphing in La Liga, the Spanish soccer competition. There’s a reason why Lamine Yamal doesn’t appear…

If you’re a football fan, you probably know that there’s a 16-year-old boy at F.C. Barcelona who’s a machine. He’s one of the great promises of Spanish football. He has been a starter for his club and has even made his debut with the national team, scoring a goal as well.

EA SPORTS FC DOWNLOAD

This young talent is Lamine Yamal, a Spanish-born player of Equatoguinean descent, and he is the brightest star among the world’s football prospects. No one of his age seems to shine brighter than him, honestly.

Nominated for the Golden Boy award, Lamine could be the next Messi, as is often said when a young player shows exceptional promise. In this case, it makes sense, as he plays for the same club and in the same position as the Argentine superstar.

Reasons why Lamine Yamal is not in EA Sports FC 24

Players have now discovered that they cannot play with Lamine in either friendly matches or Career Mode in the game, so many have criticized EA for leaving him out.

And while a few believe it’s the fault of Real Madrid and its tentacles of power, the reality is simpler and much more sensible: it’s a legal matter. In other words, Lamine is too young to appear.

The player from Esplugues de Llobregat was born on July 13, 2007, so he is 16 years old. This means he cannot sign a contract with EA for the use of his image, something that can only be done from the age of 17, as stipulated by EA.

This might seem odd, but we saw it happen in FIFA 20 with Ansu Fati, another F.C. Barcelona player who was a revelation during that season. When that FIFA edition was released, the young forward was 16 years old and couldn’t appear in the game.

As you can see, the reason is purely legal, and it should be understood. Since he won’t turn 17 until this season is over, we most likely won’t be able to play with Lamine Yamal until EA Sports FC 25, which is not that far off.

End of an Era: Real Madrid’s Iconic Captain Departs After Over a Decade

It had to happen and it did. Benzema, one of the great players of our time, leaves Real Madrid after deciding on an Arab team…

This is something that many Real Madrid fans feared: the retirement of their stars, their idols. Unfortunately, the time comes for all of us, and it seems that Benzema’s time has just arrived… in European football.

FIFA 23 DOWNLOAD

The Athletic announced yesterday that Benzema, 35 years old and coming off a poor season, had received a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia, and that Real Madrid had been aware of this proposal and the Frenchman’s decision to leave for several days.

Several sources from Real Madrid’s training camp in Valdebebas confirmed that the forward and coach Carlo Ancelotti had a meeting on Wednesday that was considered unusual and was not part of the team’s agenda.

All these sources stated that they expected Benzema to leave after that meeting unless the board could change his mind. The Champions League defeat has taken its toll.

According to The Athletic, a media outlet affiliated with The New York Times, Real Madrid did not stand in Benzema’s way, despite having renewed his contract until June 2024 earlier this year.

Benzema’s teammates at Real Madrid have been aware of his temptation regarding the offer from Saudi Arabia for several weeks, and as far as is known, he would have asked one of the club’s physiotherapists to accompany him to Saudi Arabia.

Benzema arrived at Madrid in 2009 from Lyon for around 40 million euros, and as of 2023, he is the second-highest goalscorer in Real Madrid’s history, with 353 goals in 647 matches, only behind Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored 450 goals in 438 matches.

He won his first Ballon d’Or last year and has lifted 24 trophies during his time at the club, including four La Liga titles and five Champions League titles.

It is expected that the Frenchman will be bid farewell as a hero in Real Madrid’s final match of the season, on Sunday against Athletic Bilbao at the Bernabeu.

What are the main signals you have to check when you want a card in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team?

The latest Football game from EA Sports, FIFA 23, has many fans of the franchise excited. One of the game’s most popular features is the FIFA 23 Ultimate Team (FUT) mode. While this mode was available in a few of the earlier games, it’s taken to another level in FIFA 23. This mode works similar to a trading card game, and players battle against each other to build the best team. But how do you know if your cards are good? And how can you get new cards without spending too much?

FIFA 23 DOWNLOAD

We’ll take a look at some of the subtle hints that you’ve got a good card as well as how you can earn coins in the FIFA 23 to spend on more card packs to build out your deck.

How to see if you’ve got a good card?

Opening packs in FIFA 23 is a game of chance. You may end up with stellar players or ones you’d rather bench. Depending on the packs you get, you may have an increased chance of getting great players. You might even get rare walkout players with an overall rating above 86. Your goal is to build the best team possible, so having a few walkout players in your hand is essential. But how do you spot these cards when opening your deck? Luckily there are a few subtle hints you can look for to know you just got a good card – before even seeing it.

Check for the fireworks

If you open a pack of cards and it contains a special card, like a FUT promo, with an overall rating above 84, there will be a firework animation just before the card is revealed. These special cards are also considered as Walkout because they are so rare. So, if you see fireworks when opening a new pack, it’s time to get excited.

main signals you have to check when you want a card in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team

Keep a lookout for the spotlights

If you open a pack and notice the back of the card darkening and spotlights appearing next to it, you can also start jumping for joy. These spotlights signal a card with an overall rating between 83 and 85. While not considered a Walkout, they are still powerful players and well deserving of a place in your deck.

Watch for a Walkout

Finally, the easiest way to see if you got a good card is to keep a lookout for a Walkout. These cards are the rarest and will always have an overall rating higher than 86. When you get this card, a short animation will play of the player walking onto the screen – hence the name.

Ways to get new cards in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team

Like with any trading card game, in order to increase your chances of building the best team, you’ll need to buy multiple packs. There are ways in the game for players to earn coins and stars, which they can spend on packs without actually spending money. These are some of the best ways to work on expanding your deck.

Play Moments mode

Moments is a new feature in FIFA 23 in which players have to complete specific scenarios. When successfully completing a scenario, you’ll earn stars. Once you’ve collected enough stars, you can use them to buy more player packs.

The initial scenarios in Moments mode are great for new players as they teach you the basics of the game. Seasoned players might not need this training, but the stars are well worth the grind.

Complete objectives

FIFA 23 FUT also has different objectives that guide players through the game but completing these also rewards the player. Completing different objectives can reward you with packs or coins to spend on cards. In the objectives menu, you’ll find many different objectives for you to work towards. Among the options, you’ll see daily objectives, milestones and more.

Complete Squad Builder challenges

Squad builder challenges are another great way to earn character packs. At the same time, you’ll also learn more about building your team because, in FIFA 23 FUT, team chemistry plays a vital role when building the best teams. However, there is a tradeoff when doing these challenges. The challenges will outline certain objectives, like having a certain number of players from the same country in your team. Once you meet the objective, you will have to give up these players in your squad in exchange for a new character pack.

Use loaned players sparingly

Loaned players can be great early on in the game, but it’s important not to get too attached or dependent on them. These players are usually high-quality players with good overall scores, but they’re only available for a set amount of games, and once their contracts run out, you can’t renew them. As such, they’re a great option for helping you meet certain challenges and objectives early on to enable you to get more character packs and build up your team. Keep in mind that you shouldn’t build up your entire team just on loaned players, as they’re only temporary.

Top 5 tips for FIFA 23

We’re nearing the end of 2022, and we’re finally able to play FIFA 23. We had quite lofty expectations when the game was first announced, and we’re glad to say that Electronic Arts has delivered. Apart from performance improvements and a generally upgraded feel from FIFA 22, the new game comes with brand-new mechanics, teams, and tons of new features that have turned out to be literal game changers.

FIFA 23 DOWNLOAD

We’re super psyched with this latest entry in the FIFA virtual football franchise, and we’re even more psyched to finally be able to give you pointers on how to play this new game. Now that it’s out, we want to give you five top tips to put into action so that you have the best FIFA 23 experience possible.

Know your console

Before we delve into the more in-game technical tips for FIFA 23, there’s one thing that we need to clarify. There’s a significant difference between the way enjoy FIFA games on previous-gen consoles and next-gen consoles. The consoles themselves are different and therefore the gameplay you experience will be too. By previous-gen we mean the PS4 and consoles of the same era. By next-gen we mean the new PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The previous-gen consoles have limitations that don’t exist in those of the next-gen. For instance, if you wanted to play with your friends, you had to be on exactly the same version. However, with the new consoles, you have access to increased cross-play capabilities that games newer games now take advantage of. Other differences exist too, though.

For instance, FIFA 23 has numerous new features that require the enhanced capabilities of next-gen consoles such as HyperMotion2 Game Technology and Composed Ball Striking. Knowing these capabilities and how to use them will make your FIFA 23 experience all the more compelling on next-gen consoles.

tips for FIFA 23

Penalties in FIFA 23

One of the biggest changes in FIFA 23 is how penalties work. The new game introduces updated and completely overhauled set pieces and incredible reworks of the corners, free kicks, and penalties that you know and likely take full advantage of. For one thing, penalties used to include a movable reticle that you could adjust. Now, you no longer have a visual aiming reference.

Essentially, you’ll now see an element called a composure ring. This will dilate and contract according to the composure stats of the player shooting the penalty. If your player’s composure stat is low, the ring will dilate and contract faster. If their composure stat is high, it’ll move slower. The faster movement of the composure ring essentially makes it a lot more difficult to shoot a perfect penalty. You can still aim, but you no longer need to hold the left analog stick in place as the aim is fixed.

tips for FIFA 23

Technical dribbling

Technical dribbling is another feature that you’ll only have access to on next-gen consoles. This is essentially a brand-new system for dribbling that increases the efficacy of the Active Touch system with the inclusion of hundreds of brand-new animations. In the old days, we dribbled with the left analog stick. Now, we have technical dribbling. For players new to the franchise, this will be relatively easy to master. However, if you’ve been dribbling the old way for years, you’ll need to give yourself some time to adapt to the new way of doing things.

The best tip we can give you to this end is to have patience with yourself. You’ll need to practice the new method a bit, and you may have to take it fairly slow in the beginning. However, once you master this new system, you’ll be boasting with all sorts of dribbling animations that you previously did not have access to.

tips for FIFA 23

Semi-assisted shooting

This is a reworked controller setting that enables you to aim your shot manually. Essentially, this is meant to improve your accuracy by almost double. Along with this, you also have access to a new shot system that lets you hit different types of shots. For instance, a low driven shot or low shot would be achieved by limiting the power application to less than 40% while you shoot. In the old days, we had L1+R1+Shoot for PS4. Now, we have a much more convenient and intuitive system that results in far higher accuracy overall.

Updated chemistry in FIFA 23

FIFA 23 marks the first time we’ve seen any significant change in chemistry in FUT since the feature first made an appearance. Thinking back, the biggest struggle has always bee trying to maintain full chemistry while fitting all the most highly-skilled players into one team. The previous way that chemistry was determined was by linking players of the same nationality or those in the same club in a formation. With FIFA 23 however, EA has put an end to direct links. This means that we can finally gain chemistry from players no matter where in the formation they are.

Play ball

When working on the previous article about top new FIFA 23 features, we felt that the game was going to present us with a whole lot of new opportunities when it launched. Little did we know how many changes to the standard FIFA SOP EA had decided to make.

Even though the game has changed so much, sticking to this list will help ensure that you have the most success in FIFA 23. Keep your eye on the prize, keep your head in the game, and most importantly, keep having fun. Let’s play ball, shall we?

EA is developing an anti-cheat system for the FIFA 23 crossplay launch

EA is following in Blizzard’s footsteps by developing a new anti-cheat system at the kernel level to stop players from cheating in competitive games. Called EA AntiCheat (EAAC), the first game we’ll see it in action is FIFA 23. It will launch at the same time as the upcoming football game, which is set to have crossplay capabilities.

FIFA 23 DOWNLOAD

In the latest Electronic Arts Deep Dive update, the company explains all we can expect from EAAC and how it will affect FIFA 23. Of chief concern is the impact on the quality of the game. According to EA, it’s negligible, and you’ll hardly notice it. The only ones who will notice it the most are those developing and using cheats.

The primary reason EA decided to develop EAAC is that current anti-cheat systems by other companies aren’t working. Cheat developers have already hacked the kernels. So no matter how much they update their software, you’ll likely still see cheating.

The plan is to launch EAAC when FIFA 23 becomes available on different platforms with crossplay functionality. PC and console games can hit online matches together, either on the same teams or against others. However, perhaps it’s wise to expect some problems in the first week or so while they sort out any teething issues.

EA is developing an anti-cheat system for the FIFA 23 crossplay launch

EA states that it plans to incorporate EAAC into any future games where there are competitive leaderboards. It’s not so much concerned with single-player titles, as there’s no level of inequity among players.

We’re nearing the launch of the next football game in the series. What I’m most excited about is the FIFA 23 collaboration with Marvel Studios. It will be interesting to see how they implement it, especially if I get to catch the ball with spidey webs and then sling it into the goal.

Former soccer stars given the Marvel treatment in FIFA 23

We cover a great many crossovers in our news section. However, these usually involve Fortnite and whichever brand, person, or media phenomenon is all the rage at the moment. Today, we have a very different crossover to present to you in FIFA 23, one that you may never have anticipated unless you idolize footballers as though they were literal superheroes. Do you get where I’m going with this yet?

FIFA 23 DOWNLOAD

Yes, EA is partnering with Marvel to reimagine the world’s favorite football stars as superheroes ahead of the launch of FIFA 23 in September. While the movement only currently concerns past footballers who have made an impression on the industry, we can assume the formula will be retained for use in other collaborative instances with today’s football stars.

Here’s a list of the footballers currently involved in the collaboration and the names of their superhero alter-egos:

  • Landon Donovan of the USA takes up the shield of the Captain America-inspired The Brave.
  • Chelsea Defender of legendary proportions Ricardo Carvalho is being immortalized as The impossible-to-surprise Anticipator.
  • Former Man City midfielder Yaya Touré stands resolute as the Greek god-inspired The Citadel.
  • Claudio Marchisio, the former Juventus midfielder, once more takes up his dressing room nickname and becomes Il Principino – The Little Prince.
  • South Korea’s Park Ji-Sung dons an Iron Man-inspired suit to become Tigerheart.

Okay, so it’s an interesting collaboration with really awesome cover art, but what does it mean for the average player? Essentially, this collaboration merely results in a few skilfully created images of the stars as superheroes. These images will replace the real-world players’ photos – exclusively in FIFA 23’s Ultimate Teams mode.

There will also be numerous FIFA World Cup FUT Heroes items available in the FIFA 23 Ultimate Teams lootboxes. EA has also said that Marvel will even release an Online Marvel Heroes comic book at a later date. Marvel seems to really be invested in this collaboration.

Former soccer stars given the Marvel treatment in FIFA 23

The collaboration does, however, deem to be purely cosmetic and won’t impact gameplay much – or at all. While I have no issue with the glorification of former soccer stars who have left their names prominently etched into the very fiber of the industry, I don’t know if this collaboration in its current state is the way to do it. Hopefully, there is more to this collaboration than meets the eye. We’ll have to wait until FIFA 23 is released to find out.

In other FIFA news, we’ve got it on good authority that FIFA 23 will feature two prominent women’s soccer leagues.

Top exciting new features in FIFA 23

In our recent news pieces, we’ve been highlighting the biggest changes shipping with FIFA 23. But there’s so much more to unpack with the new additions to the latest iteration of the game than a few news articles can cover. Recently, Electronic Arts released a gameplay trailer that introduces all the new mechanics coming to the FIFA franchise. This is, however, a bittersweet moment.

FIFA 23 DOWNLOAD

As incredible as the new FIFA 23 trailer looks, this is to be the last game in Electronic Arts’ FIFA franchise as the partnership between the two entities is coming to an end due to numerous contractual disagreements. Luckily, where one door closes, two more are due to open. To effectively unpack all of the groundbreaking innovations coming in FIFA 23, we’ve put together this comprehensive guide to the top new features in FIFA 23.

HyperMotion2 Technology

HyperMotion was introduced in FIFA 22. Essentially, this technology helps the FIFA games look more realistic by capturing a high volume of actions on-site, which are in turn converted to in-game animations. HyperMotion, and by extension, FIFA 22, was incredible. But EA is pulling out all the stops for the next iteration of the game, including the development of HyperMotion2, a brand new high-volume dynamic movement capturing protocol.

HyperMotion2 is the fruit of 2 90-minute games at the Spanish Real Zaragoza stadium and 71 players wearing Xsens suits to capture even the most minute dynamic movement. This includes the players on the bench and the match officials. Double the amount of gameplay action was captured for FIFA 23 than for its predecessor. To ensure that the Xsens suits and HyperMotion2 capture as many possible movements, the team ran through numerous training scenarios. This helped them capture even those motions that aren’t frequently implemented during the average match.

The introduction of HyperMotion2 also ties in with the introduction of a world first – the inclusion of women’s soccer leagues in FIFA 23. One of the full 90-minute games captured for HyperMotion2 was a women’s game. This is because of the difference in dynamic movement between players of the male and female persuasion – something EA is relatively unwilling to admit in some of its other titles.

There are three unique movement archetypes tailored specifically to women’s games in FIFA 23. These are based on height, signature running styles, and variance. In total, there are hundreds of distinct characteristics and individual animations made possible by HyperMotion2, including the unique running and playstyles of women’s soccer stars like Australia’s Sam Kerr.

Top exciting new features in FIFA 23

Machine Learning in FIFA 23

FIFA 23 also expands on the machine learning algorithm used in FIFA 22. The new machine learning algorithm for FIFA 23 will study the hundreds of animations mentioned above, combined with HyperMotion2 technology to decide which movements to use based on player stats and situational stimulation. This will result in the most realistic reactions and movements throughout the FIFA franchise, and possibly gaming on the whole.

The algorithm is learning from a total of 9.2 million frames of data captured during the two sample matches. However, FIFA 23’s machine learning algorithm isn’t just for sifting through animations and code to implement the most appropriate during given situations. The algorithm can also write new code and animations in real-time, resulting in six new hyper-realistic soccer motions in FIFA 23.

We’ll move into particular motions next that have been improved upon greatly for the next, and last iteration of the FIFA franchise.

Top exciting new features in FIFA 23

Technical Dribbling

Technical Dribbling is a brand-new feature that EA is introducing into FIFA 23. This is a state-of-the-art dribbling engine that uses the Active Touch system to more intelligently and intuitively calculate the player’s path to the ball. Actions like turning and dribbling the ball should now feel far more responsive.

Even though EA has developed this brand-new engine for better dribbling, the overall efficacy and skill of a player’s ball control will be determined by said player’s stats. The stats most involved in determining how good a player will be at dribbling with the new Technical Dribbling engine are Dribbling, Agility, Balance, Reactions, and Ball Control.

Higher attributes and stats will therefore have higher quality results. Everything, from the speed of the resultant dribble to the distance that the ball will maintain in relation to the dribbler are dependant on these above-mentioned stats. In fact, these stats will even determine how quickly various players can switch between animations.

Top exciting new features in FIFA 23

FIFA 23 AcceleRATE

This is another impressive expansion to EA’s player movement protocols. This new feature divides players into assorted unique archetypes based on players’ acceleration. See, as the FIFA franchise has been expanded upon in terms of adding new titles, it’s also gained a lot more comprehensive knowledge about the sporting discipline it tries to emulate.

The franchise started with broad-spectrum additions like animations that make players look like they’re running like humans. However, we’re now at that point where the additions are so finely-tuned that they breathe even more realism into the game. One such addition is the realization that even though certain players have equal top speeds, there’s a lot more that goes into how they reach those speeds.

AcceleRATE sorts players into three acceleration types; Controlled, Explosive, and Lengthy. Most of the players in FIFA 23 will fit into the Controlled acceleration category, which means that they are able to accelerate in a uniform and controlled manner.

Explosive acceleration, on the other hand, is for the players that accelerate with explosive bursts over short distances. These are primarily shorter, more agile players. At the other end of the spectrum are the Lengthy accelerators. These are taller, stronger players that typically accelerate slowly, but once at speed, can catch up to and exceed the speed of most other players. Slow and steady wins the race.

Top exciting new features in FIFA 23

FIFA 23 to feature two prominent Women’s Soccer Leagues

In a series first, FIFA 23 will feature women’s football leagues when it launches on September 30th. This is a landmark honor for female soccer players the world over and seemed to confirm the rumor that female soccer clubs would be included in the new game. Now, we have confirmation that women’s soccer is indeed part of the FIFA 23 experience.

EA recently revealed this on its website and in a brand-new FIFA 23 trailer. The final iteration of EA’s FIFA franchise will see players able to play as soccer stars from both France’s Division 1 Arkema, and the UK’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League. This potentially means that we could see even further integration of women’s leagues in EA’s next football series, EA Sports FC.

EA announced that FIFA 23 will also feature a cross-platform multiplayer component, but this will have its limits depending on the generation of your console. For instance, players on Xbox One will be able to play against PlayStation 4 players, but not PS5. PS5 players will similarly be able to play with those on Xbox Series X|S, as well as players on Google Stadia or PC.

The game will also only let friends play each other in two game modes: FIFA Ultimate Team’s Play a Friend, and online friendlies. In any other game modes, players will be paired up through online matchmaking. These modes include FUT Rivals, FUT Online Friendlies, FUT Champions, Online Seasons, and FUT Online Draft. Players will be able to opt-out of cross-play completely, in which case they’ll only play against players on the same platform.

Of course, the biggest news surrounding the game is that Sam Kerr will be on an internationally available version of Fifa 23. In previous iterations, female stars have only ever graced the covers released in their home territories.
