John Cena Opens Up About Major Mistake Made After Battling The Rock in WWE

The WWE and DC star has spoken about his fight with The Rock, the other star who shares the ring and stages. This is what John Cena says.

John Cena has been portraying The Peacemaker, a character from DC, for years, which has made its way to the big screen in the film “The Suicide Squad” and to television in the series “The Peacemaker.”

And, as you know, before becoming an actor, John Cena was one of the greatest wrestlers in WWE. Professional wrestling wouldn’t have been the same without him in the 2000s and 2010s.

For some time now, John Cena has transcended into other areas of entertainment, transitioning from wrestling to film and television, which has allowed him to grow as a professional and explore new careers. But it wasn’t always like that.

John Cena spoke on a podcast about his fight with The Rock

The actor and professional wrestler opened up about his feud with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in WWE in 2012 and 2013.

Cena admitted that he didn’t understand what The Rock and other wrestlers, like Dave Bautista, were doing in the film industry. He saw the time they spent filming movies as time they weren’t in the wrestling ring.

“I became selfish, and me – living in WWE at that time and having no concept of growth or someone else’s perspective – took Dwayne’s comments about our business as unreal,” he explained on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.

Now, John Cena has been portraying The Peacemaker, a DC character who has made his way to both the big screen and television.

“My opinion was that if you love something, you should be there every day. How hypocritical I am, because I still love WWE, and I can’t be there all the time. And I just didn’t realize it,” he reflects on the show.

John Cena confesses that he should have resolved things privately. The two eventually reached an understanding, and their friendship is now “in a really good place.”

Wrestling community in mourning as beloved WWE superstar passes away

If you are a fan of televised wrestling, that is, WWE, know that the world of wrestling is in mourning, one of the greats has left.

Wayne Coleman, a professional bodybuilder turned wrestler, was a star in the wrestling world during the 80s and 90s, thanks to his memorable appearances in WWE. He passed away last night at the age of 79.

Coleman stood out with his bleached blond hair and a charismatic and humorous persona. Known in the ring as Billy Graham, he established the current model of WWE: muscular, extravagant, and entertaining wrestlers.

Without Wayne Coleman, wrestling superstars like Hulk Hogan or Jesse Ventura would have never existed.

Cause of death of Billy Graham

The WWE reported his death but did not specify the cause. Coleman underwent a liver transplant in 2002 after contracting hepatitis C and had to undergo multiple hip replacements.

He also spent his final years dealing with health issues that he attributed to the massive steroid use he had engaged in throughout his life as an athlete.

A successful career in the ring

Mr. Coleman, who stood at 6 feet 3 inches and weighed 165 pounds, with a chest measuring 32 inches and biceps he dubbed “python,” was known for his bloody battles at New York’s Madison Square Garden in the 1970s.

A former teenage evangelist who toured the country, he said he chose a name that paid homage to Southern Baptist preacher Billy Graham and the successful rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar.

In wrestling promos and interviews, Coleman liked to address people as “brother,” a affectionate term often used in evangelical gatherings, but in the ring, he played the villain and relished mocking his opponents as boxer Muhammad Ali did.

“I took old things and made them new,” Coleman told the New York Daily News. “I wasn’t an old-style wrestler. I was the first guy who looked and posed like a bodybuilder, kneeling down and doing a bicep shot,” he explained in interviews.

Describing himself as a natural showman, he said he would do whatever it took to help draw in the audience and make the matches entertaining for ticket buyers.

The result was media attention, which led to invitations to appear on late-night talk shows.

Coleman enjoyed his biggest spotlight in what was then the World Wide Wrestling Federation, where he faced off against wrestlers like Dusty Rhodes and Harley Race.

Hulk Hogan’s mentor

Along the way, Coleman also met and mentored two rookie wrestlers, named James Janos and Terry Bollea, who would go on to become big stars known as Jesse Ventura and Hulk Hogan.

WWE wouldn’t be what it is today without pioneers like Wayne Coleman. For that reason, thank you, Coleman, for everything you’ve done and for the legacy you’ve left behind. The ring will always be yours.

Comeback of the Decade: WWE Legend from the 2000s Returns to the Wrestling Scene

If you are a man in your 30s, surely WWE was part of your adolescence. One of the great fighters seems to be of …

WWE is back in fashion in 2023 and life is wonderful again. At least for fans of televised wrestling. And especially if you like the show surrounded by sticks.

WWE 2K22 DOWNLOAD

And those of us who grew up watching WWE in the 90s and 2000s miss many of the great wrestlers we fell in love with as kids. Today we talk about the return (or possible return) of one of the greatest.

Is Randy Orton returning to WWE?

In the days leading up to WrestleMania 39, there were rumors that Randy Orton wanted to make his long-awaited return to WWE at the big event.

With the company openly talking about big surprises, there was some hope that we might see The Viper.

Unfortunately, that was not the case. Randy Orton has been out for some time dealing with a back injury that required major surgery.

In September of last year, some people in WWE were said to be “concerned” about his injury. Now, even eight months later, his father, Bob Orton, provided an update to Bill Apter for WrestleBinge.

“He’s training, so we’ll see what happens. I don’t know if he’s eager to come back or if he’s ready to come back. I think he might. On the other hand, he’s very well taken care of, I don’t think he needs it and I think the doctors have told him not to do it. But Randy will do what Randy is going to do.”

On the one hand, it’s good to hear he’s training. On the other, it’s not so good to hear that the doctors are telling him not to come back. But, hey, Cowboy Bob is a worker too – maybe he’s just working?

In any case, let’s hope Randy’s back recovers well and that, if possible, he returns to WWE soon. There, the new wrestling stars like Bud Bunny or Logan Paul will be waiting for him.

5 tricks to be king of the ring in WWE 2K22

The popular WWE 2K franchise is making a comeback this year. After an erratic delivery in 2020, 2K Games decided not to release a new edition of its wrestling game in 2021, using its sabbatical year to fix all its past mistakes. And the results are nothing short of remarkable: WWE 2K22 definitely meets the quality standards we would expect of a game in the franchise.

If you’re already playing it, keep reading this article to learn 5 tricks to be king of the ring in WWE 2K22.

  1. Master the new controls

As we mentioned, many aspects of the 2022 edition have improved. And it couldn’t have been otherwise, considering that the 2020 game was a technical disaster. That’s why the first thing they did was rebuild the game engine.

Visual Concepts, the developer of the title, redesigned all the gameplay and the animation engine from the ground up. The change isn’t huge, but the new display forces us to change our strategic approach to the game, as reflected in the controls.

Since WWE 2K22 is heavily combo based, we recommend initiating combat via simple attacks using the square or x button on Xbox. Once you’ve done a series of basic hits, then you can branch into heavy attacks or grabs with the other buttons. That way, through a sequence of light and heavy blows, you’ll be sure to inflict more damage.

As you may have noticed, this is common in fighting games, and now WWE 2K22 is applying the formula. And that brings us to our next tip: check out tutorial mode to learn how to master the new controls.

  2. Be careful in MyFaction mode

In this edition, 2K Games has added MyFaction, a game mode similar to FIFA Ultimate Team…

with all that it entails. My Faction is full of cards and items to be obtained using in-game currency as well as real money. In other words, it has the same dangerous loot box mechanism as other video games in the market.

There are three ways to obtain MyFaction points: by completing matches and challenges; by collecting MyFaction Tokens, which can be used in the Token Rewards market to unlock legend and superstar cards; and using the game’s virtual currency, which is purchased with real money.

Obviously, we recommend completely avoiding the last option and focusing on the first two, since they are the ones built into the game’s own mechanics. We know it’s hard, and these modes are designed to get you to spend money to go further in the game, but go for the missions and challenges first (by the way, it’s best to use “Evolution” cards, the fastest track to stardom and success).

  3. Set MyGM mode for the maximum number of weeks

Sometimes complaining gets things done. WWE 2K22 players complained to the studio and publisher, begging them to bring back General Manager Mode. No sooner said than done! This time, Visual Concepts has rechristened it MyGM, but it’s essentially the same thing.

This mode lets players choose one of the five available Managers or create their own. Then they can select superstars, budgets, sponsors and stadiums, set ticket prices, sign free agents and much more. You’ll become the showrunner, but there’s a catch: it only lasts one season. Then it’s over, and you can’t continue endlessly like in Football Manager.

But here’s a tip: as WWE 2K22 lets you choose how long your championship will last, we recommend selecting the maximum duration, “50 weeks,” in the settings menu. Since MyGM is limited to a single season, you can use this option to prolong General Manager mode as much as possible.

  4. Download the wrestlers you can’t find

Community Creations have become almost universal in WWE 2K games. Although they have been missing from some editions, they are back by popular demand in WWE 2K22, at the players’ request.

And “Community Creations” is exactly what the name suggests, that is, wrestlers created by players. Using this option, we can choose from a wide variety of combatants, but the classic superstars we miss will be available as well.

Although WWE 2K22 will be adding downloadable content, including new wrestlers, we recommend searching for them first in Community Creations. What’s more, they’re free!

  5. Don’t skip MyRise mode

We know for a fact that people tend to skip MyRise mode in sports games, but don’t make that mistake. In WWE 2K22, MyRise has been revamped with more dialogue options, customizations for designing your wrestler, more freedom in decision making and much more.

This is also the case of the Rey Mysterio Showcase, one of wrestling’s most famous characters. So, be sure to check it out. It’s fun, and you’ll unlock a number of features upon completing this mode.

Be the king of the wrestling circuit

And that brings us to the end of our top five tricks, tips and recommendations to make your journey through the WWE 2K22 universe a bit easier, either by getting the cards we mentioned or diving into MyGM or MyRise mode. The rest is up to you: get into the ring!
