The recent phenomenon of the video game Palworld has captured the attention of players, especially after the legal controversy involving Nintendo due to its similarities with Pokémon. Terraria arrives at Palworld in style

The latest update of Palworld, titled Tides of Terraria, has been well received by the community. This version incorporates a wealth of content inspired by Terraria, including new equipment, dungeons, and enemies, which significantly enriches the gaming experience. Additionally, original elements have been added such as three new islands, a fishing minigame, and a system for dismantling marine waste, which diversifies the options for players.

The collaboration between the developers of Palworld and Terraria arose from a “cold” direct message between the teams, suggesting a natural connection between both titles. Both are indie games that have resonated in the crafting and survival sector, featuring the aesthetic of colorful monsters and lush forests. Although a release date has not been announced, Terraria is expected to receive thematic additions inspired by Palworld in its upcoming update 1.4.5.

For now, Palworld is available on Steam at a promotional price of €21.74 until July 10. This crossover between two independent video games, although set in deep worlds, invites players to immerse themselves in a shared and creative experience, breaking down barriers between titles that, at first glance, might seem like competitors rather than allies.

Atelier Yumia is the latest installment in the long-running role-playing game series developed by Gust, which has focused on alchemy and item creation since its debut in 1997. This new title stands out for its renewed approach, offering an open-world environment where players can explore and gather resources, as well as build camps and bases to facilitate their adventure.

A new approach in the open world

The protagonist, Yumia, faces the heavy burden of her legacy and the negative perceptions of the public regarding alchemy. Throughout the game, players will have to overcome a landscape shrouded in toxic fog, making discoveries as they progress. Unlike previous games such as those in the Ryza series, Atelier Yumia features a completely open world that promises a richer exploration experience.

Resource gathering is a central element in the title, allowing players to accumulate materials that they can then transform into new objects and weapons through a deep and rewarding synthesis system. Upon returning to their workshop, players can create upgrades and take their weapons to a new level, which adds a considerable incentive to continue exploring and gathering.

Additionally, the game includes the Pioneering Effort system, which organizes tasks according to combat, gathering, and crafting, unlocking new tools as players complete objectives. Although some aspects of base building can be complicated, the process of establishing camps and watching the happiness of the NPCs grow adds an interesting layer to the game.

Atelier Yumia will be released on March 20, 2024, and a demo is currently available on Steam, allowing players to get a sense of this crafting and exploration experience that promises to capture the essence of the franchise while introducing significant innovations.
