Halo Infinite promises a cyberpunk aesthetic for the upcoming Cyber Showdown III

Halo Infinite has announced its upcoming battle pass, Cyber Showdown III, promising a cyberpunk aesthetic and a new and fascinating level.

Halo Infinite didn’t have the best of starts. With a troubled development, a less than ideal presentation, and a reception that was more lukewarm than expected, the game failed to attract the audience like previous games in the franchise. But that doesn’t mean it’s dead. Or that 343 Industries won’t give it their all to make it the best game possible.

343 Industries has just announced Cyber Showdown III, the second of its Operations updates. With 20 free tiers, the Cyber Showdown III battle pass focuses on the designs they have called “viral machine”, based on CHIMERA armor with organic elements that give the characters a distinctive cyberpunk style. As usual, you can play to unlock everything, or pay 2,000 in-game credits to unlock everything and get an exclusive item.

In addition, with Cyber Showdown III a new map will be introduced, called Elevation. Focused on intense indoor combat, it will also be possible to venture into the outdoor area of the map. Although at the cost of perhaps exposing ourselves too much to crossfire.

Although we don’t have a specific date yet, Cyber Showdown III is expected to arrive around mid-April. Following the current cadence of 343 Industries, who decided to give up seasons in favor of smaller but more frequent updates.

Leaked Rainbow Six Siege Skin Unveils Microsoft Icon’s Fresh Look

A mythical character from Microsoft arrives in the form of a skin to Rainbow Six Siege, anticipating with this leak the expected new season of the game.

The trend for a few years now has been to gain prominence in multiplayer games through collaborations with other franchises. Fortnite is probably the one that makes the most noise in this regard, but that doesn’t mean others aren’t doing it too. Call of Duty recently caught attention for its collaboration with The Boys, and now it’s Ubisoft’s turn with Rainbow Six Siege.

A Twitter leak from user Klobrille reveals a Master Chief skin for Rainbow Six Siege. Specifically, it’s a skin for the Operator Sledge that resembles the appearance of Master Chief in Halo Infinite. Of course, there is no official confirmation yet whether this leak is real or not, so we don’t yet know the cosmetics that would come with this particular skin.

If this leak is legitimate, it is expected to be introduced with the new season, starting on August 29th with Year 8 Season 3, titled “Heavy Mettle.” This season will also include a new operator and significant changes to the ranked and quick match systems, along with a new arcade mode.

In any case, this is not the first time Rainbow Six Siege has received character skins from other franchises or even from other companies. With collaborations featuring Nier, Assassin’s Creed, Yakuza, and even WWE, this crossover with Microsoft’s most significant franchise shouldn’t come as a surprise. However, we’ll still have to wait a bit longer for confirmation on whether the leak is real and, if so, whether it will arrive alongside the anticipated changes in Heavy Mettle.
