Synopsis
Silence tells the story of Sergio Ciscar, a young man who murdered his parents six years ago and has not said a word since. Now of age and having served his sentence, he is released and Ana Dussuel, a young psychiatrist, must determine his potential danger to himself and society by secretly observing him day and night, thus violating all his constitutional rights. Something that promises us a tough story, full of tense moments.
In fact, this is something that the creator and producer of the series himself, Aitor Gabilondo, wanted to emphasize when talking about the film. He himself has declared that “silence is a psychological thriller about the monsters that silences and unspoken words engender. The investigation into the personality of an inexplicably violent young man, the reckless approach of a psychologist to the mind of a young man tired of being observed from the outside”.
The cast
As mentioned above, the series stars Aaron Piper as Sergio, the young killer who is released from prison after six years without uttering a word. The young psychiatrist Ana is played by the actress Almudena Amor, who appeared in important roles in recent successful films such as Fernando León de Aranoa’s El buen patrón and Paco Plaza’s La abuela. Likewise, in supporting roles, we find other well-known actors such as Aitor Luna and Pep Tosar, giving a production that, even so, seems to carry the bulk of the acting weight on the shoulders of its great young talents.
