Tom Hiddleston stars in the first trailer for Mike Flanagan’s upcoming horror gem

Before getting to work on the next Exorcist movie, acclaimed director Mike Flanagan (Hill House, Bly Manor, Midnight Mass …) will direct The Life of Chuck, a Stephen King adaptation that tells three stories related to the character Charles Krantz, in reverse order: starting at his death from a brain tumor at age 39 to his childhood in a supposedly haunted house.

This new horror movie will star Tom Hiddleston, our trusted Loki whom we have already seen starring in hits like Kong: Skull Island and The Night Manager. Now, we’ve just received a first look at the movie, and although it doesn’t seem to give us many clues, it definitely makes us want to know more about it:

Mike Flanagan returns to the cinema

“What I love about this material and the short stories that exist is that it seemed to resonate with the Stephen King who wrote The Shawshank Redemption“, says Hiddleston. “There is a warmth and a kind of spirit that is really on the side of life in the story, which I really connected with when I read it.” Its release is expected sometime this year.
