Before getting to work on the next Exorcist movie, acclaimed director Mike Flanagan (Hill House, Bly Manor, Midnight Mass …) will direct The Life of Chuck, a Stephen King adaptation that tells three stories related to the character Charles Krantz, in reverse order: starting at his death from a brain tumor at age 39 to his childhood in a supposedly haunted house.
This new horror movie will star Tom Hiddleston, our trusted Loki whom we have already seen starring in hits like Kong: Skull Island and The Night Manager. Now, we’ve just received a first look at the movie, and although it doesn’t seem to give us many clues, it definitely makes us want to know more about it:

“What I love about this material and the short stories that exist is that it seemed to resonate with the Stephen King who wrote The Shawshank Redemption“, says Hiddleston. “There is a warmth and a kind of spirit that is really on the side of life in the story, which I really connected with when I read it.” Its release is expected sometime this year.
