In Apple’s WWDC 2012 Keynote, Apple announced updates and improvements to existing apps. The biggest announcement that Apple gave was the introduction of its new Maps app. Apple’s step away from Google Maps was a long-known rumor prior to WWDC, but the event allowed Apple to demo it, or what they plan Maps will be when iOS 6 launches in the Fall.

Euro 2012: Five great soccer apps for Google Chrome
If you’re a soccer fan that goes to work or school every day then no doubt you’re missing a lot of the Euro 2012 tournament.
After yesterday missing the only good thing about the England v France game (the goals) I decided to seek out some plug-ins and apps for Google Chrome to help me make sure I don’t miss any of the action again.
Simply click the title of the app to launch it in the Chrome web store then click the ‘Add to Chrome’ button to install it in the browser. You’ll then be able to launch the app from your Chrome start screen whenever you like.

WWDC 2012: Apple announces iOS 6
Apple today completed its keynote for WWDC 2012 and announced the Fall 2012 release for iOS 6 while highlighting the big upcoming features.
iOS 6 is available in beta form to developers today and the planned Fall release supports iPhone 3GS and above, iPad 2 and above, and the iPod Touch 4th Generation.
Among the biggest announcements in iOS 6 are Apple’s own Maps service, greater Siri integration, Facebook integration, and iCloud support in Safari.
Apple also announced other updates for the operating system.
WWDC 2012: OS X Mountain Lion highlights
Apple’s WWDC 2012 keynote wrapped and there were a lot of announcements made today. A majority of the keynote was spent showing off the new features of OS X Mountain Lion and iOS 6 (most of which weren’t on my wishlist).
Although Mountain Lion won’t be released until July for $19.99, the developer version released today is close to the final gold version. Without further ado, let’s cut the fat and take a look at the most interesting features of OS X Mountain Lion.
iCloud Documents
iCloud is getting some nice feature updates. One of the more substantial updates is document integration. Users will now be able to drag and drop documents into iCloud, which sync them between all of your iOS and Mac devices. This is a nice little update and brings it up to what Google is doing with Google Drive and Google Docs integration.
The best and worst iOS 6 rumors
Apple’s latest keynote is almost upon us. On Monday 11th June, CEO Tim Cook will conduct Apple’s traditional mid-year report, which will surely include some interesting news for owners of iOS devices.
Those hoping to see the iPhone 5 are likely to be disappointed, since the new phone is expected to be announced in September. Likewise, you shouldn’t expect to be gawping in awe of the new Apple TV, because this seems to be a project for later, too. So, the biggest announcement outside of Apple’s desktop line-up will be iOS 6.0 (if indeed, that’s what it will be called).
