Adjustments to the story to be closer to reality

Riordan has emphasized that, although adjustments are being made to the original story to quickly capture the viewers’ attention, this does not mean that the essence of the characters or main plots is lost. Instead of a literal copy, the series presents a more dynamic and accessible narrative through its episodic format.

An example of the innovations in the second season is the inclusion of Alison Simms, a new character who is the daughter of Apollo. This addition allows for exploring the story from multiple perspectives, something that Riordan describes as a valuable opportunity, especially to develop plots related to other characters, such as Luke Castellan.
