However, in August we saw the light at the end of the tunnel: Doug Cockle, who voiced the witcher in the previous games, announced that although he would not be the protagonist, Geralt would return in one way or another. Spoiler: in the end, maybe not.
Lost on the continent
According to reports, CD Projekt was not pleased that the actor was openly sharing (widely known) secrets of the game, and they decided to remove him without much fuss. After all, the game is going to be a success, with or without him. But now we have learned that, at the time, Cockle was carried away by rumors and admitted to speaking without knowing.
As he stated, “I went online and said something about it, and then I got a slap from CD Projekt because… I don’t know how true it is. I believed a rumor, I thought I saw someone from CD Projekt saying that Geralt would be in The Witcher 4 but that he wouldn’t be the main character, and now I don’t know if that’s true, because they came and told me ‘We haven’t said anything, shut up!'”. If Geralt doesn’t appear, you know who to blame.
