The renowned author of crime fiction Michael Connelly has announced the release of his new book titled The Hollow: A Bosch Novel, scheduled for November 3, 2026.
This project marks an exciting crossover between his iconic detective Harry Bosch and lawyer Michael Haller, the protagonist of The Lincoln Lawyer, although, unlike previous collaborations, the plot does not focus on solving a criminal case.
The lawyer of Bosch
In this new installment, the narrative delves into Bosch’s personal trauma, addressing aspects of his childhood and the death of his mother, events that have left an indelible mark on his life and career.
The story takes on new meaning when Haller informs Bosch about his right to a compensation of $400,000, stemming from a class action lawsuit for the experiences endured in a state facility during his youth.
However, Bosch makes it clear that his interest lies in the pursuit of justice rather than money, which drives him to confront difficult memories and the mysterious death of a colleague known as Chops.
Despite the interest in this crossover, there are significant challenges, as Bosch is a character from Prime Video, while Haller belongs to Netflix. However, some rumors suggest that this type of collaboration, although complicated, is not impossible.
The timing of the publication coincides with a boost in the popularity of Lincoln Lawyer, which has recently enjoyed a successful return in its fourth season, potentially generating greater interest in this crossover story.
