Inzoi, the new life simulator developed by director Hyungjun “Kjun” Kim, is ready to surprise players with its innovative approach to death within the game. With an early release date on March 28 on Steam, this title will offer users the chance to experience up to 16 different types of death, from common accidents like slips and electrocutions to more philosophical aspects like dying from a lack of social recognition.
During a recent global presentation, Kjun highlighted that one of the most unique elements of Inzoi is the death derived from the need for recognition. This concept is reflected in modern life, where reputation plays a crucial role. If a character, known as Zoi, faces negative rumors about themselves, their need for validation could drastically decrease, leading to a fatal outcome. This innovative approach will provide players with a new way to interact with the social elements of the game.
With life beyond death, lest you may find rest
Additionally, those Zoi who die with a bad reputation will have the option to return as ghosts, adding an interesting mechanic that combines death and the quest for redemption in the digital world. Kjun also mentioned that characters can die from everyday situations, such as eating spoiled food or having accidents while trying to fix electronic devices, promoting caution in players’ decisions.
Inzoi will also feature drivable cars as an experimental feature, although for the most part, driving will be automatic, adding an element of danger to the gameplay. This title will be available for a price of 40 euros in its early access through Steam, promising a unique experience that challenges the traditional conventions of life simulators.
