As usual for the singer, the release of Tuya has been accompanied by some controversy. In this case, it has been this Twitter thread that explains why ‘Tuya’ could be a covert dedication to Hunter Schafer, one of the actresses of ‘Euphoria‘.

In that thread they talk about the great friendship they both had publicly in 2019. It was not uncommon to see them together at events and shindigs of all kinds (even at the MET gala). The user (@motocarl on Twitter) also lets slip that the ‘relationship’ between the two ended due to the irruption of Rauw Alejandro, Rosalía’s current partner.
