This year’s Oscar Awards are held in a context marked by controversy and surprise, not only featuring Karla Sofía Gascón but also several unexpectedly nominated films after a season that promised to be complicated. Among the films that have resurfaced is The Apprentice, a biopic that tells the origins of Donald Trump, and which, despite a not very successful theatrical release, has achieved two notable nominations, thanks to the outstanding performances of Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong.
The film, available for streaming through Movistar Plus, is set in New York in the 1970s and 1980s, when a young Donald Trump seeks to forge his own path in the competitive real estate world of Manhattan. Throughout his rise, the protagonist encounters Roy M. Cohn, who becomes his mentor and teaches him the subtleties of power, manipulation, and deception. This complex relationship is central to the narrative and highlights how Cohn’s teachings influenced the formation of the figure who would later be Donald Trump.
The film has generated a mixed reaction due to its unflattering portrayal of the current president, which allegedly led Trump to attempt to boycott its theatrical release. The movie not only explores the ambition of the young mogul but also presents the figure of Cohn, a controversial lawyer known for his role in dishonest political tactics, which has sparked interest from both critics and the public.
The story, written by journalist Gabriel Sherman, sharply focuses on how a relationship with a problematic mentor can shape complex and often controversial characters. With The Apprentice, cinema delves into uncomfortable territory, providing a provocative look at the origins of the man behind the Trump brand, which has kept the audience attentive and divided.

Since 8BitDo announced that it was launching a keyboard called Retro Keyboard, featuring designs from the NES and the Famicom, my inner child decided for me that I had to get one. Unfortunately, for over a year this keyboard was only available with the ANSI distribution (or American layout, as it is commonly called).
Fortunately for me and for millions of Europeans, the Chinese brand 8BitDo decided to adapt the Retro Keyboard to several languages a few weeks ago, including Spanish. Today, after more than a year and a half of waiting, I can finally tell you how the beautiful keyboard that I have wanted to try for so long is. Will it live up to expectations?
TKL Design, retro but in current fashion
Whichever version you buy (NES or Famicom), the retro mechanical keyboard has the same tenkeyless (TKL) design. This means that the necessary typing keys are present, along with separate navigation keys that include Print Screen, Scroll Lock, and Pause, set apart from the typing keys.
A full row of function keys is located above the typing keys, like those you would find on a full-size keyboard, in three distinct groups of four.
In addition to a Windows key to the left of the space bar, customizable A and B buttons can be found to the right of the space bar. The keys are made of PBT with sublimation, so they should be resistant to wear and fading.
The 8BitDo N Edition Retro Mechanical Keyboard features programmable A and B keys and independent control panel. Compatible with Windows and Android.
The keyboard’s own controls are located in the upper left corner, above the Escape key. Here you will find a power/wireless dial that turns on the keyboard and sets it to Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz mode, a volume dial next to it, and pairing, key assignment, and profile buttons to their right, each with an LED to indicate when it is pairing, assigning a key, or switching profiles.
An independent power LED is located in the upper right corner of the keyboard, placed in a hemisphere to give the impression of the LED lights that resembled bulbs used before surface-mounted lights became much more common in the 1990s.
The back of the keyboard has a USB-C port for charging and using the keyboard via a wired connection, along with a slot for the included 2.4 GHz USB adapter. You will also find four 3.5 mm ports labeled A, B, X, and Y, to connect the included Super Buttons accessory.
A TKL design with some additional buttons and a volume control already seems sufficient for a compact wireless mechanical keyboard under 100 euros, but 8Bitdo, however, adds a second device to the box.
The accessory Super Buttons is a rectangular device with two large circular buttons that look like giant versions of the front buttons on NES or Famicom gamepads. It connects to one of the ports on the back of the keyboard, and both buttons can be assigned separately to any command. A keyboard can accept up to four Super Buttons.
A mechanical keyboard with a very pleasant sound
The keyboard uses Kailh Box V2 White switches, tactile and clicky switches that are satisfying, but can be a bit noisy if you prefer quieter ones.
The click is not exactly subtle, but it sounds slightly rounded and not very sharp, which I find pleasant. The switches have a total travel distance of 3.6 mm and are rated for 80 million keystrokes each.
The keyboard’s circuit board is hot-swappable, so you can change the key switches for quieter ones if you wish. (You might prefer a linear movement, or simply want a different brand and model of switch). It is compatible with N-key rollover.
I have been using the Retro mechanical keyboard for two weeks and I find it responsive, reliable, and fun to use. I have not experienced ghosting or missed key presses while typing, and the Bluetooth connection was consistently reliable with my computer, just like using the keyboard via WiFi with the 2.4 GHz USB adapter.
The aesthetics of the NES on the keyboard are instantly recognizable without being ridiculous, and as a 33-year-old adult with an extensive collection of cartridges, it is perfect for satisfying my inner child.
That said, I confess that I haven’t used the Superbuttons at all. They are a nice addition, but they don’t seem useful considering that you only get two customizable buttons.
Perhaps you can find some use for them to quickly switch to a program or open it, or to activate a specific preset while streaming, but the amount of space they take up is too large for what they offer.
The 8BitDo Retro 108 Mechanical Keyboard is built for both efficiency and fun. A versatile keyboard for your desktop, making transitions from tasks to games effortless.
A perfect keyboard in every way, where design is just the tip of the iceberg
The retro 8Bitdo mechanical keyboard is a fantastic wireless mechanical keyboard, which is even better if you are a specific type of gamer.
PC gamers and those who are not at all enthusiasts of video games probably won’t appreciate the designs of the NES and Famicom, but even they will enjoy the good typing feel, flexible connectivity, and reasonable price (99 euros in Europe).
In fact, it will be hard to find a good wireless keyboard with quality mechanical switches for this price, unless you go for lesser-known Chinese brands. And 8BitDo, being Chinese as well, has already earned a good reputation in the industry.
For me, the NES-style Retrokeyboard from 8BitDo is, without a doubt, my favorite keyboard. And I would tell you how long the battery lasts, but I’ve gone two weeks without charging it and it’s still at about 70%, so I’ll let you know when I find out.

The AMD Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT will be available for sale on March 6 for $549 and $599, respectively, one day after the RTX 5070 arrives. The Nvidia models, on the other hand, cost $549 for the RTX 5070 and $749 for the RTX 5070 Ti.
AMD claims that both offer “4K gaming at a 1440p price,” although it is making some unusual comparisons: according to AMD, the 9070 XT is on average 51% faster than an RX 6900 XT at 4K settings, and 26% faster than a four-year-old RTX 3090 at the same settings.
A competitive price and a perfect release date to make an impact
Although leaks had suggested that the price of AMD’s 9070 could start at $649, AMD surprised everyone today with suggested retail prices of $549 for this card, placing it on par with Nvidia’s RTX 5070, which costs $549.
We won’t know the complete answer until the reviews of AMD’s cards appear next week, as well as the reviews of Nvidia’s RTX 5070. However, AMD is giving some hints about the performance in which their 9070 series cards might fit.
AMD has teased that its RX 9060 series of GPUs will arrive in Q2 and that it plans to share more about them "later." It looks like AMD is lining up to challenge Nvidia's unannounced RTX 5060 cards, too https://t.co/ZOqCC4L0yL
With an official power of 220 watts, AMD’s director of graphics product management, Scott Olschewsky, claims that the 4nm monolithic chip is “the most efficient GPU we have built.”
Each card also offers 16 GB of GDDR6 memory, DisplayPort 2.1a and HDMI 2.1b ports, and they are PCIe 5.0 cards, although your motherboard does not necessarily need a new 5.0 slot or benefit from one. They will use standard 8-pin PCIe power connectors.
And even if you’re not a fan of AI, AMD will put that hardware to use in games with FSR 4, which comes with a new AI enhancement algorithm for its super resolution technology that will run exclusively on these RDNA 4 cards and newer.

In response to the situation, Apple issued a statement informing that it is implementing a solution to correct the error detected in the dictation feature.
The company acknowledged that the problem may not be limited to the word “racist,” but that other terms containing the consonant ‘R’ are also being affected by this issue. However, some media outlets, such as the Associated Press, noted that they were unable to reproduce the problem a day after its detection.
In a different context, Apple has announced a significant investment of over $500 billion and the creation of 20,000 jobs in the United States over the next four years. This includes the construction of a new factory in Texas, reflecting the company’s commitment to the growth of its U.S. operations.
Additionally, on another recent occasion, Apple shareholders rejected an attempt to pressure them into supporting the elimination of corporate programs aimed at diversifying its workforce, amid a political climate marked by threats of import taxes.

Players who have recently purchased an Nvidia RTX 5070 have reported an increase in the frequency of blue screen of death (BSOD) and black screen issues following a recent Nvidia driver update.
A representative from Nvidia on Reddit suggested that users could resolve these issues by updating their GPU’s vBIOS or waiting for new drivers that would be released soon.
Some users have managed to fix their issues by downgrading PCIe versions in the BIOS or restoring previous drivers. However, Nvidia has not yet confirmed the exact nature of this problem, although indications suggest that it may be related to a software-level error.
The situation is further complicated by reports of defects in the design of the connector and the silicon, which cannot be resolved through software and may be impacting the performance of the GPUs. Despite the difficulties, some users have reported that updating the vBIOS has resolved their black screen issues, although this varies by graphics card manufacturer.
It is rumored that their performance figures are promising, although we will have to wait for the offer and prices at launch to form a definitive opinion. The growing competition between these two companies could provide consumers with more options in a market characterized by scarcity and rising prices.
Sony announced that starting in March, the official price of its virtual reality glasses, the PS VR 2, will be reduced to $399 (400 euros), which represents a significant decrease of $150 from its original price of $550. This price cut has led to questions about whether, two years after their launch, the PS VR 2 glasses are still a device worth buying. Are there games that truly take advantage of these glasses? The PS VR2 compared to the competition Compared to other virtual reality devices, such as the Meta Quest 3S at $300 and the […]
This price drop has led to questioning whether, two years after its launch, the PS VR 2 glasses are still a device worth buying. Are there games that truly take advantage of these glasses?
Unlike standalone devices, the PS VR 2 require being connected to a PlayStation 5 or a PC, which restricts mobility and the gaming experience due to the need for a cable.
Sony drops PlayStation VR2 price to $399. Sony’s VR2 price cut comes nearly a year after a report suggested it was trying to shift unsold inventory of the VR headset https://t.co/lrX7XotiKF
And while it features advanced characteristics such as eye tracking, OLED screens, and controllers with haptic feedback, the catalog of exclusive games for PSVR 2 has left much to be desired since its launch in 2023.
Although there are ports of titles from other platforms, many were hoping that classics from the original PSVR, such as “Astro Bot: Rescue Mission,” would be adapted for this new generation, something that has not yet happened.
In their favor, they are very comfortable for players who wear glasses, but against them is the fact that they have invented an adapter for PC to allow us to play Steam games with them, in addition to the lack of exclusive offers and the need for a connected system. It doesn’t seem like these PS VR2 are Sony’s best product.

This is Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge! Thinnest S25 model. Cool. It’s pretty thin. But it’s not THAT thin imo. So what’s the point? ? pic.twitter.com/myP63uJaCl
The Galaxy S25 Edge will be available in three colors: light blue, black, and silver, and will feature an impressive 200 MP main camera, inherited from the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
This focus on high-quality photography can attract consumers looking to enhance their photographic experience through their mobile device.
According to a report from Seoul Economic Daily, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be launched at a mid-range price, which could make it accessible to a wider audience. This strategy is part of Samsung’s plan not only to capture the interest of current users but also to gain market share before the launch of Apple’s iPhone 17 Air.
The competition between Samsung and Apple has reached a new level in the ultra-thin smartphone segment. Both manufacturers are expected to usher in an era of innovation in device design, as demonstrated by the recent launch of the Oppo Find N5, which is even thinner, at just 4.21 mm thick, although this model will not be available in many regions of the world.
With the imminent presentation of the Galaxy S25 Edge, consumers and technology enthusiasts are eager to see how it compares to the competition and whether it will truly represent a significant advancement in the design and features of smartphones.

Walking 10,000 steps a day can become an effective strategy to burn between 300 to 400 calories, although this figure depends on personal factors such as weight, walking intensity, and genetics.
The terrain also plays a vital role in how many calories are burned. Walking on flat surfaces may be less demanding in terms of calorie burning than doing so on an incline or climbing stairs. Therefore, the intensity of the walk significantly affects the results.
The key to losing weight is to move
For those looking to lose weight, exercise alone is not enough. Maintaining a caloric deficit is crucial, which means consuming fewer calories than are burned.
The basal metabolic rate (BMR) of a person is essential for determining how many calories they can consume without gaining weight. It is advisable for the BMR to be recalibrated periodically during the weight loss process, as it may decrease as weight is lost.
Technologies like smartwatches and fitness trackers are useful tools for monitoring the number of calories burned while walking.
Devices such as the Apple Watch or the Fitbit Luxe provide accurate estimates of calorie expenditure and help users adjust both their physical activity and diet. However, it is important to remember that success in weight loss will depend on the combined effort in exercise and a balanced diet.
