There is a man living inside a billboard in Los Angeles, and only a few know what movie he is promoting

The housing crisis may be turning into something global, but surely no one imagined what’s happening in Los Angeles right now. And that’s because right in the middle of Sunset Boulevard they’ve installed a gigantic window inside a billboard where you can see a living room inside, about 9 meters off the ground. Inside, a man living his life. Outside, a bunch of people who don’t understand what’s going on.

Until Saturday, this man will talk to anyone who wants to talk to him using a whiteboard… And no, it’s not just any art installation, but actually, it’s an advertisement for Netflix’s new film, The Last House, starring Wagner Moura and Greta Lee, which premiered today to surprisingly good reviews.

In the film, a family of four gets trapped at home with no way to escape or survive, running out of food and supplies and forced to stay inside because of a mysterious threat. I mean, exactly what’s happening to this man, trapped in a giant billboard and unable to get out.

The person locked inside is above lettering that reads “How long can you survive?” (“How long can you survive?”) and I have to admit that, at the very least, it’s made me want to see the film. That much dedication to marketing can only mean that, at least, they’ve put some heart into it. That’s already more than 99% of what premieres on Netflix!
